The rooms are divided in four categories: Suite, Heritage, Haveli and Standard. Wonderful views of lake Pinoche from dining areas, rooms perfectly adequate but slightly basic, the little touches like the flower lined staircases which were changed at night to candles gave a magical look.
Be aware that Taxis cannot get to the hotel during the daytime so a Tuk Tuk ride is required.

A very comfortable hotel positioned on the lakeside with its own jetty from which you can take a boat trip around the lake. The food is adequate and varied, rooms clean and comfortable and the staff most helpful and pleasant. Supper on the roof is great for the view but you need to reserve a table!!

First time at Jagat Niwas but definitely not the last. Old school hotel with lots of charm and a top shelf, extraordinary staff and level of service. The rooftop restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful.
Best part about the hotel is their absolutely stunning private boat which takes you around the lake and gives you an experience of a lifetime.
If youâre in Udaipur and not visiting this place ,you really are missing out on something!

A great place to stay in a superb setting, right on Lake Pichola. We never wanted to leave. Nice staff, delicious meals at restaurant and sunset views you will never forget! The hotel has its own boat dock.

Room 128 - small and old. No view and a myriad of ten unmarked light switches and dials on one wall plate. You have to flip a switch and wait 15 minutes for hot water. Hot water lasts only about 5 minutes. Then you wait another 15 minutes for it to reheat after someone has showered.Transom above door lets hallway light directly into the room at night. Good that I brought an eye shade otherwise I would not have had a wink of sleep. Bed comes with one pillow and is hard. Avoid this place.
