Worst experience ! Think well before you choose to spend your special day..

Itâs the worst place I have every visited. The management is so bad and they do not understand your emotions. The ambience is good but you will literally loose your piece of mind starting from security gate till you checkout.
The requested room service was not provided.. lunch was horrible and no staffs in Resturant to serve food or full the empty food vessels. Your baby will loose his or her patience waiting for the staff to give any sports materials because they will take approximately 2 hours to give anything.
Totally unprofessional staff and management. I would never recommend this for any of you, who are planning to celebrate your special day.
Average hotel with decent amenities

This Resort is located on the outskirts of Mysore & little far from the city(9KMs to Mysore Palace). The hotel is in a calm & isolated location with no development for 3 KM radius, this place would suit for people who have their own vehicle for going around or travelers need to hire a cab through the hotel. The check-in experience was OK. The rooms are relatively bigger with all the basic amenities you expect from a typical 3 star hotel. There is scope to improve on the cleanliness because though the room looked spacious, it had a very distinct odour (Kind of a unpleasant smell due to dampness). This hotel has got just one restaurant & a small Bar facing the swimming pool. Breakfast spread was limited with an average taste/quality. The ala-carte food seemed to taste much better than the food served in the Dinner or BreakFast Buffet. You don't have much of a choice for food given that you should travel at least 10 KMs to find alternate eating options. They do have a small indoor play area(Snooker, Foos ball, Table tennis, Carom etc). For outdoor sports, they have a small children's play area(swing etc..) & cricket net practice area in the parking. This hotel has a decent sized swimming pool but I didn't like the smell of the water in the pool. Kids pool is closed now for unknown reasons. This is a small resort so you don't get much to do inside the resort. The staffs are courteous but not very professional. Many of them don't understand/speak English. If the hotel management addresses some of the main concerns mentioned in this review, I am sure this hotel will become one of the worthwhile places to stay in Mysore for travelers but for now its a long way to go.
absolute gem with a pocket friendly tag

This is an absolute gem with a pocket friendly tag. With Mysore Palace being just a fifteen minute drive, this resort has it all.
If you like the feeling of being amidst natural beauty then this place will certainly not disappoint you. The walk way to the lobby / reception is beautiful and covered with sheltering trees. The rooms are clean, spacious and have a traditional touch with all the modern features that one could ask for.
The outdoor dining is worth the mention too. Several small covered seating arrangements amidst the garden make this a rather cozy place to have a candle light dinner.
The food is of good standard and the portions suit the price you pay.
Other amenities such as swimming pool, game area with the options of table tennis, fussball table, snooker, badminton, gym etc. There is also a separate area with slides, swings etc for children.
There is also the option for a full fledged bar for those looking to sip it up.
The Spa service has been shut so a relaxing massage is not on the cards. I guess it would be fair to say that the greenery will certainly have a refreshing effect on your mind and body.
The room service and housekeeping department do justice every bit.
Overall I highly recommend Jal Mahal to those looking for a quick get away from the city life just to chill. Please keep in mind that having a vehicle is recommended. Not too sure if there are sufficient cab services available at Mysore.
Keep up the hospitality.

To begin with, the resort is quite far from city and absolutely nothing around for good 2-3 kms. No OLA / UBER will come as it's out of range and it's a pain if u don't take ur own vehicle. The local taxis create a fuss to get there cos of the placement and distance. Also, the food is very highly priced and of avg quality. Buffet tastes good only on Sunday, o ther days it's below avg, cos u guessed it right, low crowd. The mattress is of weird quality. It's very slippery on edges and I almost fell twice from bed while sleeping. Hot water goes off and nobody cares to fix it. Tap in washroom was stuck and unable to operate, they didn't care to fix it. Purely money minded. As simple as it. They don't even give complementary news paper. They insist on nylon costume in swimming pool to sell their swimwear. Also they forced us to pay for a broken water glass which we didn't even touch.
Though it's serene and peaceful, it's quite small place. Better go to something where the accessibility is good.
nice little resort

We stayed here for just a day but longed to stay longer. It is a neat resort beautifully spread out amongst greenery. There is a swimming pool as well. The resort has a games room as well. Food was good and the breakfast was a good spread where one could eat with relish.
