In past one year, this is one place, which I have visited for 4-5 times for lunch buffet with family and believe me the food is awesome and finger licking. You can trust this hotel completely when it comes to taste. Variety of salads, veg and non veg dishes, variety of desserts, the presentation, ambience, service, all of these things at a reasonable price.
As we live in chandigarh, depending on our experience we booked the reservation in hippodrome for the new year eve and it was the best decision we ever made on any new year eve. The party also went amazing. The Dj was brilliant, the place was not overbooked, management was good and food was again amazing. Will strongly recommend this hotel for food and events.

The hotel is located at the heart of Chandigarh, Sector-17. The place is central location and spot a beautiful coffee shop at the lobby. The menus served their for lunch , dinner and breakfast are also good. The rooms are big and comfortable. However, when we reached we found that booking records are misplaced and not well managed- we had to struggle a bit to get our ore booked and prepaid accommodation, which created minor irritation. Room services were delayed. However, if you do not have much expectation on services side and can accommodate these gaps a bit - then this will be good choice to opt for. The prime location of the hotel makes it a hotspot......

The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of city beautiful Chandigarh surrounded by lush green trees and wide roads.The hotel is approachable by all means of conveyance ie by road, by train and by air.The reception of the hotel is very good. The staff engaged in various activities of hotel is very good and co-operative.The rooms are very good and stay was very comfortable.The food of the hotel restaurant is outstanding.The hotel has very good and spacious parking facilities.

Nice hotel located centrally in the heart of Chandigarh. The staff is courteous and helpful moreover they have pick and drop facility available from the international airport also. Food is also good here both quality as well as quantity wise. overall recommended surely.

James Hotel is located in the iconic Sector 17 i Chandigarh, Heart of the Chandigarh City. It is one of the most sought after high end market area of Chandigarh. Before acquisition Jame used to be Park Plaza Hotel.
The rooms are too but poorly managed one can clearly see taps and faucets in rusted condition. The telephone still bears Park Plaza stickers. The sign boards are very old fashioned and give a very temporary look.
Food served is good but still room for improvement. The hotel was courteous to help me with a simple vegetarian dish prepared to my specification. i recommend hotel to have some dishes/portions designed according to single business traveler.
Still full marks for location but not enough value for money.
