Very expensive in terms of quality of the property

We went there on a family trip with another family. When we checked the rent over the phone they told us it is 16,000 rs / night for a three bed room villa. We thoght that was very expensive and was giving up the plan to stay there. Then the lady was keep calling us back and reduced 6000 over three phone calls. Finally we decided to stay there for 10,000 / night.

Because it was initially 16K per night we had some expectations about the property. In my opinion the property is below avergae and it is badly maintained. In my view a resort should be very clean and nicely presented. There was some constructions were going on with no safety measures for the kids playing around. Some sort of waste water from kitchen is just flowing thru the walkway and I have noticed a lot of unhygiene and unsafe stuffs. Photos attaching.

Weekend stay

We stayed at the resort over Christmas break. On the first day, we stayed in their deluxe room which is nice. On the second day, we stayed in their cottage which was very nice. The property is next to the dam and all the rooms face the dam. The sight is breathtaking especially in the morning with the mist rising from the waters and birds diving into the water for their 'breakfast'. They have a small swimming pool and a small park for children.
The food on the menu had a lot of north Indian food to cater to most of their clients. We asked for local food and they obliged. The staff was very helpful and the owners Vishnu and Parvathy and the other staff were very cordial, helpful and made sure that we had a good stay. Would surely stay there again and recommend the place to others.

We stayed in this resort for two days from 27 December 2017.. Kindly note these points, it might help you to have better holiday here:-
1. It's right on the banks of the reservoir of Karapuzha Dam..The property is great.. Location and view spectacular..
2. However, not all rooms are waterfront..The cottages offer great views of the reservoir and the hills beyond..(but are expensive).

3. Rooms in the ground floor in the double storey complex won't give you that feel, in case you are looking for a true waterfront experience. Both we, as well the management had some inconvenience owing to this.

4. The staff is courteous and helpful..In case you have a problem, you can approach Mr Vishnu, the owner of the property, who is present almost all the time ensuring every minute aspect of your comfort..

5. They have nice restaurant offering amazing views of the lake..But, unfortunately the food is highly overpriced considering prices prevalent in the area.. Fortunately, you have ample good hotels within a couple of KMs offering variety cusine. So explore it..!

Rest, Wayanad is beautiful, but the places of interest are spread over long distances.. Happy holidays!!

Relaxing and calm resort by the lake

A quite and relaxing resort near the lake. The cottages are very airy and big with a nice balcony facing the lake. The open area is neatly maintained and is good to enjoy the surroundings. The staff is friendly. The spa is great. They called the spa staff from the town specifically for four people after it was closed for the day.. late in the evening. The buffet breakfast is very limited in choice, so is the menu at the restaurant. There was a mention of indoor activities, didn't had time to explore them. The swimming pool is far away from the rooms and cottages with plant fence giving some privacy.
Camp fire area is worth if we are in a large group.

Had a great time with family amazing hospitality excellent rooms excellent food and very good environment feel like home 🏠 I personally suggest if anyone looking for a good place to hangout it’s a perfect place to visit👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
