Luxurious stay
Siuting M on 18/01/2018 14:46
We stayed for two nights. The hotel is at seaside but next to the road with cars passing by, and you could still see lights from the streets in your room so it does not give a full vacation relaxing feel like you can have in Shimoda. The overall impression of this hotel was luxurious. The room was spacious with massage chair, private outdoor onsen and indoor wood bath tub. However, the indoor one was a 'smoked' type and I didn't quite like the smell so I only used the outdoor one. We also had tried the private bath on 9th floor which was good too. They only had private bath but not public one we used to have in other onsen hotels. The service was excellent with welcoming tea, delicious luxurious dinner and breakfast, night bar drink and noodle. Staff was very attentive and could spoke English . Overall we enjoyed the stay.
Nice Ryokan
Il0veItaly on 06/12/2017 21:03
This time, Iâve chosen this ryokan for me and my 2daugters.
I didnât want to spend many hours traveling , so this location was perfect for us.
Weâve took a taxi from Ito station, which was about Â¥1000 (USD8).
As soon as we arrived, they welcomed us to the small room next to lobby and gave me ¥1000 back for my ride....nice !
The room was bit tidy from my past stay at the ryokan, but clean and had nice private outdoor bath at the balcony. We chose a room with bedroom and Japanese style tatami room next to each other. The bath had a tiny tub, so if you are average American MAN, it might be little squishy. But it was ok for 3 girls.
View from the room was nice ocean view. We saw a huge rainbow after the rain, it was nice surprise!
Dinner was KAISEKI style, had 7-8 small seasonal dishes. Taste was OK.
Breakfast was nice. I liked this one better than dinner (sorry)
The price comes with all you can drink, which is good if you are drinker.
Every drink in your fridge was free too. Oh, they had free RAMEN at the bar from 10pm.
What I liked best was âDoctor Fishâ which is located next to the front desk.
It eats your feetâs dead skin ...sounds gross but it really works !
Overall, I donât find this Ryokan special nor great. Just about an hour and half train ride from Tokyo makes it attractive. Donât think we will go back.
Fantastic Experience All Around

A short drive from Ito station, they will reimburse your taxi fare there give you a ride back to the station on the way back.
Very spacious rooms with all rooms having a relaxing hot spring outdoors overlooking the ocean with the sound of the waves.
Many amenities included, the massage chair was also relaxing.
The meals, both dinner and breakfast were very good. Japanese course meal for dinner and Japanese style breakfast with many small dishes for breakfast. More than enough food. I was quite full. Many different kinds of drinks to select from as well.
The service was what stood out the most. Outstanding service from all the staff.
Will definitely go again.
The best Sashimi and Shabu Shabu
asianchef on 04/07/2017 14:16
We reserved the room through hotel website and ordered extra Wagyu Shabu Shabu and Sashimi which cost 4,500 and 4,000 respectively. Our dinner was set at 5 p.m. since the staff told us that the other later time was fully booked. So, we had no choice, but got to have our dinner while we were still half full! Anyway, the food was great, but we could not finish our full courses. When we left the dining room at 7 p.m.there was just a couple sitting there! Where were other guests at dinner time?
So, be prepared if you would like to stay at this hotel, not to eat too much during lunch time, you could be unfortunate like us. The staff could only say 'sorry' once we complained.
Fantastic Stay!! Great roykan
Miu2000 on 30/05/2016 23:00
This is a roykan, so you will be there for relaxation and get away. So it is not meant for shopping. The location is remote, it is about ten minute taxi ride from the station (the hotel will reimburse the taxi fare).
Food is extraordinary: both dinner and breakfast
Service is excellent, they place you in a very comfortable room, serve you champagne while walking you through the check in process. The staff will walk you to your room and explain all the little things in your room.
The room is big and comfortable, the sea view is fantastic, there is a private tradition wooden hot spring in the balcony, the bathroom is made by wood. tatami dining area but a western comfy bed. So you can enjoy the traditional Japanese style but with a comfy bed.
Hot spring: other than the in room hot spring, there are two hot spring located on the top floor that you can use (also private, as long as you see it is available) You don't need to share with others that you can enjoy with your family members.
Hotel is very quiet. There is not many rooms in the hotels, so you don't see other often except in meal time.
The lobby is comfortable and grand.
They have the spa service ($$) so you can be relaxed.
Overall, this is one of the best hotel I've ever stayed. It is also a nice gateaway from the busy tokyo city life that you can be totally relax. Good for staying 1 or 2 night while travelling Japan. I felt the price is reasonable with the quality of the meal and amenties. it is worth spending every pennies.
