A superb backwater resort. The entry with a small backwater crossing using small boat is a lovely experience. Wonderful Heritage Houses with all modern amenities.
Resort provides free backwater power-boat ride till beach is superb experience.
Resort contains pond with paddled boating facility is a attraction for couples. Beautiful landscape makes the resort more picturesque place.
Enjoyed my stay in November at the resort with helpful staff, who are ready to resolve issues with no time.

This was our last stop in Kerala. It provides a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle and offers beach and backwaters. We received a warm welcome on arrival and found our timber cottage comfortable. The resort seemingly surrounded by water and accessed via canoe contains grounds that are manicured, hammocks, paddle boats and kayaks. We were offered free activities including a boat trip through the backwaters to the beach, a guided morning walk to the harbour and afternoon nature trail. This resort values nature and as such provides a quality environment and great food. Be aware that this location is considerable distance from the Alleppey backwaters where the houseboats are located. This was a plus for us.

Not easy to reach , Our cab driver was getting nervous of were we were taking him and so were we.
Finally we reached through broken roads and a boat came to fetch us and take the luggage.
At first it was hard to understand was this resort made in the waters ? or the waters were taking over the resort. It will take time to get accustom to it and then you will respect its beauty.
Surrounded by trees and water ( and Mosquitoes *) , the resort has rooms sculptured in their own unique ways. The Bathrooms are very large and spacious.
They provide a complimentary ferry ride ( Time is fixed*) for a couple of hours which helps you explore the Fishing nets and local sightseeing.
By noon you have to let them know there food preference as they close their service by 9:30 pm.
Food is excellent , Right enough to give you a great taste of local Kerela cuisine.
Limited breakfast options , but they hit the spot.
There is a Ayurveda massage spa to avail the services.
Best to go there with a group of people else you might get bored.

I visited Kondai Lip Backwater Heritage Village in September 2017.
The location is actually closer to Cochin than Trivandrum. It is a beautiful resort surrounded by water on all the sides.The water fields around the resort actually used to be rice paddies.
The wooden cottage which I had booked for 2 nights was indeed very cute. The breakfast was dosas and other South Indian dishes.
I found the Ayurvedic Massage at their centre was very rejuvenating.
I would recommend anyone who loves serene surroundings with great views and lovely food to visit Kondai Lip resort.

I have stayed for one night and enjoyed the overall stay. The landscaping and the atmosphere is very good. They do have in- house activities like boating, fishing, spa which keeps guest engaged. They should have provision of secured parking place.
