Great hotel with amazing view of the lake. Beautiful presented in familiar Laura Ashley furnishings.

We had a lake view room, it was lovely. Nice big room terrific view over Windermere and the hills. It was a bit rainy one day so we had afternoon tea. Highly recommend this as a fun option on a miserable day. Lovely scones and cakes. The staff were friendly and attentive. All of the public areas are beautifully decorated and relaxing. Only negative was Sunday morning when the breakfast was buffet style. For the money we were paying we'd expected table service and a better selection of food.

It's a beautiful property on the lake the staff is really good but unfortunately the room which was given to us was not that good ,there was no space in the room no 72 though we had booked the room with king size & all but didn't get that even I feel the lift is very antique if someone has not pulled the shutters properly than one of you have to go up or down close it and than it would work it's better if they keep one lift man instead guest doing that work
A treat indeed!

The view that my room offered was breathtaking. The corridors leading up to the rooms are decorated with beautiful wallpapers that are a constant reminder of why the Laura Ashley name is associated with this property. The rooms have lovely furnishing. I stayed here for two nights and it was no less than a treat!

We had a room on the second floor it was clean warm and cosy and the view from our room was spectacular you could see all the way down the lake to the mountains with the snow on the tops it was beautiful back to the hotel the food was excellent we had lunch in the brassiere food was very good it had a good menu to choose from and we we went in the restaurant for dinner the staff were attentive but not invasive my only disappointment was the lift was not big enough for me in a wheelchair we had to fold it up and I had to stand in the corner and my husband had to use the stairs to get me out of the lift on the second floor if you are disabled in any way ask for room 1. On the ground floor it was booked when. We asked
