Stayed for one night only. The whole place looks lovely until you look a little closer. Television not working in one of our rooms and very outdated in the other. Very uncomfortable bed and pillows that just flatten as soon as you lay down. On top of that they had a terrible smell to them, definitely not freshly laundered. Booking states breakfast included but beware if you want any thing hot you will need to pay an extra £5. Being asked to choose what you want for breakfast the night before is not ideal either. Very creaky floors so every footstep from other guests were heard.

My wife & I spent 4 nights D/B/B here recently.We stayed in the Benfield bedroom because it has a shower cubicle. Nothing was too much trouble from start to finish.Two lounge chairs with cushions were put in our bedroom because my wife has a bad back and attention to detail was excellent throughout.
The setting is lovely surrounded by countryside yet close to the main roads.The bedroom was warm & comfortable and the hospitality and food top rate from start to finish.Both owners have worked in Michelin starred hotels/restaurants and it shows!.

I made a last minute booking for work and I was able to get a nice and relaxing dinner upon arrival. Saw several staff who were all nice and helpful. Continental Breakfast was included which quite suited me.

Staff very accommodating nothing is too much trouble. Rooms very tastefully decorating with all necessary amenities. Location very good as about a mile from my son and his family who we visit in Merley. Full English breakfast is a must have!

What a little gem, perfect for a nice weekend break. Both the dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing, and the staff couldnât do enough to help. The room with the four poster bed was stunning with great views over the pretty grounds. Just a shame about the British weather.
