After motorway delays and redirections, glorious drive through Dartmoor and then turn into entrance of this fabulous Manor. Embraced in comfort, blazing fires, excellent dinner. Could ask for no more. Thank you!!!

We stayed here for one night in January and I loved it! The Manor is breath-taking with the most beautiful rooms and there were log fires everywhere, so it was all very cosy. Our bedroom had a very comfortable four poster bed that looked Jacobean - I forgot to ask whether it really was or not.
We had bar snacks for lunch and then dinner in the dining room, and of course breakfast (and then lunch again) the next day. All the meals were delicious and I thought the food was up there with the best restaurants or hotels I have ever been to. The weather was pretty wild but we had our wet weather gear with us and we went out anyway and had good walks with our dog. It was a lovely break and we thought it was remarkably good value. WeI will certainly return.

we came here with the family for a new years eve black tie event.
FOOD
The food was amazing! it was like 7 courses and the food was delicious. two of the members in our group didn't like fish so they changed it last minute so that they had duck instead.
DRINK
the drinks were lovely and not too badly overpriced for what it was.
EXPERIENCE
The overall experience was good except I found the dance floor was very small and the music the band played wasn't the kind of music you could always dance to. the music was a bit old and the band kept taking breaks which left the atmosphere in the room a bit dead. I think if they had a more modern band more people would have got up to dance.
The evening was lovely and they were very accommodating but it just needs modernising.

We did the New Yearâs Eve package black tie event.
We went with friends and family the food is incredible . The staff are excellent . We stayed in a variety of rooms between us . My parents stayed in the room outside which is extremely private quaint but also very small with no drawers so they had to leave those items in the case. They had a hanging area downstairs .
The food kept coming and you couldnât fault a single course in the end we actually missed out if the cream tea in our package as we were too full .
As part of the package they had clay pigeon shooting the chap who ran this was great knew his stuff and sorted my shooting out , I went from not being able to hit a side of a barn to 9 out of 10 clays
The bar prices are ok apart from the wine is steep. They need a house wine of less than £20 for us mere mortals.
An unforgettable trip but very expensive . If itâs in the budget do it.

We stayed for the 3 day Christmas break in the wonderful old slice of England. The rooms were excellent. The staff very helpful and friendly. The food was so consistently good that we nearly expired from overeating. This is a five star experience. The weather was dire but you really can't blame the hotel!
If you can afford it this is a fabulous experience.
