Located in Unsafe Area

I was looking for a property at Diu in Make my trip. This property was recommended from website mentioning as an hour drive from Diu Airport. Few facts were not shared which are critical for any traveller. Roads are in such a pathetic condition since decade that it turned out to be 3 hour drive in evening from Diu. It passes through forest area prone to wildlife (lion) and limited human presence in the way thus if there is any breakdown of vehicle one is at risk of safety. Local management informed me that they didn't shared information of One hour drive from Diu Airport to MMT, which is giving fraudulent statement. Thus the hotel is not honest to customers and one loose too much time while travelling and is at huge risk of safety.
Decent Stay

Its a OK hotel at the best. Wifi issue and ok food but overall it was a decent stay with decent room. No other good options at this place. The staff was half trained but still helpful at certain time.
Best in area, be grateful!

We stayed here on route to meetings at Pipavav Port. There's really nowhere else to stay / this is the best option in the area and yes, it is probably more like 1 or 2 star rating. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast here, no alcohol and predominately vegetarian food. Biggest issue was language but we eventually overcame this and ordered and ate well. However it was still a bit of a revelation that they cooked eggs for breakfast - you just had to ask! Typical British concerns for cleanliness and hygiene were unfounded thank goodness which was a relief on departure after 3 meals there! The room was fine but a tad smelly, but it was clean and the bed OK. The wifi worked fine and the staff tried hard to be helpful especially in the dining room. The reason for our visit was that we had flown from Mumbai on a public holiday to Rajkot which is 5 hours to the north of the hotel. We then stayed at the hotel overnight and the following day visited Pipavav Port and drove again, this time 3.5 east to Bhavnagar to fly back to Mumbai. Pipavav is not the easiest place to visit as flights locally are not every day,the road conditions were poor, traffic horrible and the journeys very tiresome. It wasn't easy and the Lions Lord Inn made it slightly easier!
One of the best hotels available in such a remote location

This is one of the best bets for you if you are looking for a hotel close to Pipava, it is still a 20-30 minutes drive till there ... The only thing I did not like about the hotel was that they did not have a color printer in their reception or business center... Considering majority of their guests who are staying there are there for business or work, they should surely consider upgrading their business center...
Their wifi router is located on the 1st floor, so the rooms away from the elevator on the 2nd floor have connectivity issues.. The reception staff was kind enough to change my room to one closer to the elevator... I would recommend booking rooms on the first floor to have better connectivity ...
The staff overall is very helpful and eager to assist ... They aren't all well spoken in English but i would not hold that against the hotel ...
They have some construction work going on in their hotel, so it is really loud during the days over there right now ...
Cannot prepare what is on menu, no wifi
JohanBadie on 10/07/2017 06:27
Staff were unable to present us with basic items on the menu. We ordered French Toast, 30 min later we eventually got French Fries. This was sent back, so we got plain toast with butter and jam. We were also told wifi is only for paying guests. We paid for our meal but we nit given the wifi password. Don't stop here for breakfast. Don't stop here for anything!
