Got buyers remorse after booking this , thought I should not of gone so cheap .
Thought it might to a little to far from the action . I was wrong .
Hotel was well placed 12 min walk from Shinjuku station and the JR line which will be your friend ! Easy walking distance to main tourist areas ECT. 7_11 across the street .family Mart 100 meters down from that then another 7_11 .
Rooms are small and a bit dated , may want to avoid if your trying to impress a date .wi -first is free and a decent 8 mb speed . Bed s ok nothing special.
Staff are friendly and professional and there English was decent .
All in all good value for money in the heart of Shinjuku. If you have money to burn then go up market , if your using this as a base of operations to explore Tokyo then this is a good bet .

Unless you are staying in an international 5-star branded hotel in Tokyo, expect tiny rooms and toilets for locally owned/managed properties. 2 pillows provided for each bed and one was a contour memory foam pillow (this was a bonus). Overall it was a value for money, clean and pleasant stay at Listel. The breakfast was decent and the service was good. The hotel is opposite a convenience store and in a quiet residential area. Walking distance to subway and decent eateries close by.

The room was tiny there was no wardrobe just a few hangers in a space. The bathroom you had to step up into this aside the WiFi was excellent room service was excellent beds comfy toiletries supplied even had toothbrush and toothpaste. The staff spoke little English but went out of their way to help us we kept our passports in their safe and they looked after our bags after checkout it is an old fashioned hotel but that added to the charm like we had coupons for breakfast which was a buffet with mainly Japanese gayer however you still could find enough to eat for western taste. I have today I was eating more Japanese by end of stay great 24/7 shop opposite and in great location loved Tokyoâ

It's located in the heart of Shinjuku. Very clean, super amenities (robe, slippers, hair dryer, toothbrush, toothpaste, conditioner, soap, shampoo, razor) except no body lotion. They provide one coffee bag and one green tea bag, and there's a kettle and mini fridge in the room. If it matters to you, the employees speak very little English. (I don't expect them to, but if you need recommendations, want to ask questions, etc...keep this in mind). SMALL room. As in, about 20" between the bed and wall. There's no closet, but there are two knobs on the wall so you can hang certain items. I couldn't even plug in my flat iron, because the clearance on the outlets was not enough to allow it to be plugged in. I asked an employee (using Google translate) what to do and showed her the issue, and she told me to plug it into the outlet that was very clearly labeled "phone charger only," but it worked and didn't hurt my flat iron. Good wi-fi!

An excellent located Hotel ,in the heart of Shinjuku.
Very clean
Helpful staff
Clean room.
Ten minute walk from subway
My only concern was that the Breakfast could cater a little better for Westerners.
Excellent breakfast room ,very clean.
Hotel needs to offer more Western food besides rolls/bacon/scramble eggs/coffee and tea.
For example add cheese/more array of cereals/muffins/oats/and other cold meats.
Maybe also add some English stations BBC to TV
This would bring the rating up to 5 stars
