Rustic accommodation

its more a house than a hotel - things to be aware of - it is well away from the beach scene of Goa so using taxis for sight seeing is essential; if you want to eat here at night you have to order food in the morning as the food is brought in fresh daily; it is a long way from the airport and be prepared for the fact that the sewage system is primitive, so toilet paper goes in a bucket rather than the toilet.
there is a resident 'guard' dog 'Blackie' who is completely adorable
Slightly strange

Set in a lovely house in an appealing village, this hotel has pluses and minuses but overall needs some attention.
Rooms are grand but a little shabby at the edges. This is probably acceptable in a building of this age and itâs clear that renovation will be an uphill battle. But shabby chic could easily just tip into shabby.
Services is also very mixed. Front office staff try very hard to please, with taxis found quickly and efficiently and very good restaurants recommended. But at times itâs hard to find staff and, for example, getting a pot of tea can mean going to the kitchen. Also one rather disobliging waiter who told me that I could only have a pot of tea in 45 minutes.
Probably better options available.
Wonderfully charming hotel

We stayed at Siolim House over New Year and had an incredibly wonderful time. The kids loved the pool and the bustling location of the village.
Thanks to Lindsey, Deeptirna, Kevin and the entire team for a fantastic hospitality.
We can highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
Charming historic boutique hotel

Lovely rooms, lovely pool. The restored Portuguese colonial-style buildings were very tastefully done. Good location for Siolim with several nice places to eat and drink in walking distance. Very attentive and helpful staff (possibly even at times over enthusiastic). Nice breakfasts. Good, but not outstanding, food.
Gorgeous, understated - loved it

This was a sanctuary of quiet luxury in an otherwise hectic north Goa. We loved the boutique feel, tasteful Indian decor and relaxed atmosphere. The owner gave us top tips for dining (we were staying over Christmas) and made us feel at home. Comfy bed, blackout curtains, tea making facilities, incense, everything clean, nice pool, great breakfast and communal areas to relax if one so wanted. Wifi wasn't too bad compared to other places we stayed in India. One minor gripe was the shower water heater (didn't heat up that much), but it really wasn't a problem.
You'd probably want a scooter to get around if you stay here or be happy jumping into taxis - there's a couple of restaurants close by but not many.
I spent hours researching hotels in north Goa and so glad I went for this one. If you like a beautiful, small, unfussy hotel then this is for you!
