How to go in on tip top form, full of the post Christmas cheer, in the company of friends wanting to show off your local facilities, only to leave annoyed and sorry I didn't take my guests elsewhere.
In short...messy tables, staff chatting among themselves, customer ignored having twice to signal for menu then again for some service. Food was good but this positive aspect was too obscured by my growing irritation...sorry chef!
Is there any form of management at the helm here?
I have been here when the hotel only opened...it has deteriorated badly.

The place was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a winter wedding everything was outstanding from start to finish and the staff were so helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat.

This was our second time staying in the resort in the past 4 months and both times we had a fantastic stay. Stayed for 2 nights and instantly got upgraded to a beautiful lake view room upon check in.
The rooms are lovely, spacious, very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom amenities.
Food and drinks in the blaney bar were great and the service was first class. All staff within the hotel very helpful and attentive. Would recommend to anyone and hopefully we will be back in the new year!

I stayed here recently with my 2 sisters for their Birthdays. It all started really well when we were met at the car and our luggage brought to the hotel for us. Check in was swift, informative and friendly. Our room was lovely, and we settled in quickly and headed to the bar for some lunch.
Once in the bar we sat for quite some time before having to ask if we could see both a cocktail and food menu. Cocktails ordered and delivered with no problem. The bar man also made a cocktail we requested which was not on the menu.
We had finished our cocktails before having to ask again if we could order some food, no-one had approached us before we asked.
After lunch we headed to the spa to use the facilities, we had not booked any treatments. I think the spa area lets the hotel down immensely. I found it very disappointing. Whilst it is a good size pool there is nothing special about it, the hot tub was functional as was the sauna and steam room, not a hint of luxury.
We ate dinner in the lough side Bar & Grill. The food was superb however the service was not very friendly. One of my sisters asked for a variation on an item on the menu and it was a problem, couldn't be done. As there was nothing else on the menu she would eat the agreed a substitute on another menu item but the experience was off putting.
At check out I got frustrated at the length of time it took. The lady who checked us out didn't even look at us and we had paid up and put our bill in an envelope before asking if all was ok with our stay, poor customer service in my opinion.
Overall we had a fabulous weekend but as per the title my experience of Lough Erne was hit and miss.

My husband organised an overnight stay at the lough Erne resort for my Birthday.
It's a birthday I'll never forget...from the minute we parked the car & got ourselves into the hotel checked in everything was just pure luxury

Dinner & Cocktails all beautiful again staff eight through Our very attentive couldn't help enough.
overnight peaceful Zero noise..baring in mind there was a wedding also going on in the grounds.
