The hotel is very much in the city. The room size is spacious enough to accommodate two pax. The room service is very prompt and staff is very helpful. The breakfast spread is very limited. The property needs renovation if they want to maintain certain standards.

This was a return visit to the Malabar Palace after a gap of about 12 years. We had a lovely suite on the third floor complete with outside balcony. It was beautifully furnished, had two very spacious rooms with all the usual amenities expected in this standard of accommodation and was extremely comfortable.
They have a really good restaurant with excellent food and helpful staff. There is also a nice bar for passing a couple of hours and chit chatting with the locals.
The reception staff deserve a special mention as they were, as always, efficient, very helpful and happy to answer any questions I had.
Thanks also to housekeeping for their good services and to the door staff for their attentiveness. Lovely people.
Well done to the Malabar Palace and God willing we will return.

Breakfast is average
Price wise, it is bit expensive when compared to other similar or better properties available in Calicut.
Staff : friendly
Drivers room arranged by them at a lodge.

Everything about this property is old and dingy. Felt sick once inside.
Check-In and Check-Out was smooth.
Lift was very small, slow and so miserable, it felt suffocated. Must be at least 25 years old.
Rooms are smelly and the whole hotel smells of cigarette smoke. Bathroom is very ill planned and dirty. Rooms and linen aren't clean too.
The management must be running this property only for the sake of Bar licence.
Buffet breakfast was the only good thing about this hotel.
Will never visit again.

Ambience is pleasant. The entire area is peaceful and pollution free. Staff were very polite and efficient. Food ordered at odd hours were served immediately and quality was satisfactory. We enjoyed Authentic kerala B'fast.
