A place to forget the world

What an amazing find. The perfect place to just switch off and really just focus on where you have arrived at. The staff are all outstanding, and are genuinely pleased to help in anyway they can.
The treatments were something that have to be tried. A morning massage everyday for 90 mins, then a specialised treatment.
The food was all fresh and healthy. Only vegetarian, but I know there is an a la carte menu to order off.
Simple clean huts. They did the job, and you went to sleep to the sound of the craving waves.
Cannot recommend this place enough, but please don't all go there at once.
A disappointment

Sorry to say that we where very disappointed with our stay here. The staff seemed stressed and had no focus in the guests at all. The atmosphere was negative and the service level was very low.
We are not coming back unfortunately, the location is fabulous and therefore it could have been a true paradise, sadly enough, it is not

Relaxing, serene and beautifully maintained

We stayed for 3 nights. We travelled in from Delhi and the hotel organised to collect us from Trivandrum airport by taxi.
On arrival we were greeted by fantastic staff, our bags taken to our cottage.
We arrived at night so all we could hear were the crashing waves as we went to sleep. In the morning we woke to beautiful surroundings and amazing views.
The resort itself is one of a view from the same chain, the food was great - a buffet was served every day, but we chose to eat a la carte mostly which was high quality and delicious.
As we only stayed 3 nights we had a few treatments and took yoga classes every morning, this was all additionally priced at approx 20-30 euros depending on the treatments. Before any treatment, you meet with an ayurvedic doctor and he gives suggestions based on what you would like to achieve. The treatments were very good.
The cottages are basic, but very well maintained and clean. We had no a/c which was a welcome change and we used the room fan and left windows open at night to keep cool. The grounds surrounding the cottages are beautifully maintained, clean and tidy, with staff looking after everything every morning.
The beach is a short walk down the rocks from the hotel and was surprisingly clean compared to others in India, until you go for a walk further out - its obvious that the hotel make sure the beach is tidy and ready for guests to use.
Staff - fantastic, smiling, helpful - what more could you ask for.
Cons - only one gripe, there really isnt much to do outside of the hotel, so you'll have to get a taxi out of the hotel. We pretty much stayed at the resort for the entire stay and used it as a relaxing retreat before heading north on our indian travels.
Amazing Setting but service does not match the price tag

Just back from 2 nights at the resort and itâs was very relaxing. The cottages are amazing, where you could never get bored do the views. The breakfast was also amazing. However for a four star hotel with at 100 euros a night there were a number of things that let it down.
1) The restaurant was set up for those who want to use the Vegetarian buffet and not for those ordering form the menu. Many dishes were not available and even though it claims the kitchen is open until 11pm, one evening it closed at 10pm and claimed that no deserts could be made as the chef wasnât in that evening. Not good enough for a 4 star hotel. Also the staff in the restaurant made you feel uncomfortable for not ordering from the buffet as it meant more work for them.
2) the hotel taxi service is over priced, they have taken advantage of their remote location and the lack of competition. Charging 1200 for the airport transfer is excessive, considering it is a 40 min drive when the charge for a 3 hour driver is 1000.
Overall it is a nice place to stay where the treatments are fantastic but the two points mentioned leave a little bit of a bad taste considering the price of the rooms.
