The Mandarin Oriental is a wonderful place to retreat to after a busy day in Jakarta. The staff are wonderful, the food is very good and the hotel suites are sumptuous. I would throughly recommend a massage after a day in the city - a heart way to wind down.

Overall service matches with the price expectation. The staffs are very attentive & prompt to respond when needed. The room setting was amazing as well with the necessities properly in place. Room service pretty prompt as well since i got my food less then 20mins of order.

Jakarta is a very hectic city and the traffic can be horrendous. Not for the first time it was wonderful to arrive in the Mandarin lobby and be greeted as an old friend.
Check in was efficient and I was in my excellent room in no time. The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable with an excellent bathroom. The restaurants and room service are very good and in the case of the latter, very prompt.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to the premier room, which is more like a suite. It had a living room, separate bedroom and extremely large bathroom. Upon arrival we were immediately led to our room by Riezha Safira, a guest relations executive. Our check-in was done in our room. She was extremely attentive and even recommended a few restaurants that we might be interested to try. One of them happened to be on our âTo Doâ list and was just a five minutes walk from the hotel. She offered to make a reservation for us. On the day of our dinner at that restaurant, she met us at the lobby and escorted us all the way there. That is what I call EXCELLENT SERVICE!

The only thing that I regret from my stay is because it was too short. The service was very good, starting from the reservation (although I made my reservation through e-mail, the staffs responded very quickly and satisfying); the ambience; the room facilities; the hotel's facilities (restaurant, swimming pool, and business centre); the hospitality of the staffs; and so on. The internet service, in particular, was exceptionally fast. The only thing that I can complain is the lack of information details about free massage service. We got a free massage service for 1 person during our stay and we planned to use it on the second day. However, it turned out that we actually need to book the therapist prior to the service and unfortunately, the time of the therapist did not match with our upcoming schedules at that day. It will be better if in the future, Mandarin Oriental Hotel can communicate more detailed information about the service to the guests prior to the use of massage service. Overall, I found my stay very enjoyable, and I am looking forward to stay in this hotel again in the future :) Totally recommended!
