Always a pleasure to walk in through such a beautiful lobby. Great facilities. Breakfasts are great with so much choice. Staff are friendly very helpful and gracious. The rooms are spacious and well appointed

The coffee shop is always good. We take our visitors there and to get the old colonial feel. The lobby of the hotel can often be disappointing as it feels and sounds like a bus station with crowds of people behaving like they are in a bus station. The champagne room is beautiful but a little tired, the coffee shop has been renovated and has a full buffet, but, we always choose ala carte and then we are put on tables at the quiet end close to the pool area. The menu is good, service is good, the curries, sandwiches are all tasty and well served, the prices are very reasonable for such a venue. Out guests always enjoy.

I wish I couldâve stayed at this hotel in every place we went in the Philippines. It was by far the best hotel of our trip. Most of the hotels I reviewed, I had to change the standard. Most hotels in the Philippines are not on an American Standard, meaning they often have roaches and problems with hot water showers. That is not true of this hotel. It has everything you would expect in an American hotel. Not to mention the beauty and grandeur you find it a great historic building that is been well preserved and restored. And free breakfast was absolutely amazing. I wish I couldâve eaten all my meals there. The selection was gigantic, and the food was fantastic. The same was true of other meals we ate at the hotel. Definitely worth the cost. The location is also fantastic if you want to visit Intramuros, you can walk there easily. The same is true of Rizal park and all the museums. The common rooms in ball rooms are also quite beautiful. It is an architectural gem.

This hotel puts the nation's best face on display. Expenses have not been spared for the building's interior, furnishings, staff dress, musicians in the lobby and restaurants, and overall ambiance. The rooms are first rate and spacious; one side of the building gives a view of Manila Bay, and the other side gives a view of Intramuros and Rizal Park. As such, you feel like a VIP when you stay here and are impressed with how classy and posh the Philippines can be. There are a few restaurants inside the hotel, all offering high quality (though pricey) food. The staff are professional and fluent in English; the front desk staff and restaurant hosts are especially efficient and attentive.

there maybe more modern hotels around or near intramuros, but MH still remains a favorite. thereâs no staff to my personal experience that will surpass the friendliness and courteousness of the staff of this hotel.
brunch is a bounty. even the picky eaters will find cafe ylang ylang catering to their needs.
parking for registered guests is almost âfreeâ.
security is tight.
the only caveat i can claim is my experience with check out. it takes forever for them to get back to you when you are all set to go. you have to wait because you wanna make sure that your deposit for incidentals will be reversed back. they need to open more counters when line is already forming.
