Good place for a weekend stay

Manoribel is a good, peaceful resort for a weekend outing with friends and family. Listing out few pros/cons
Pros:
1) Location is awesome. You can enjoy the relatively untouched beauty of Manori beach and spend hours walking around
2) Lot of options for kids & adults to play around - TT, badminton, basketball, cycle riding. Carry your own rackets/shuttlecocks as the ones they have are broken.
3) Tempting hammock to laze around for hours
4) Water is filled and easily provided from water filter, unlike hotels who charge you per bottle of mineral water
5) Staff are pleasant and polite
Cons:
1) Rooms are just OK. They are spacious, but not classy like hotels. Beds are large and can easily fit 3 adults. Geyser is functional, bathroom is basic, plumbing is fine. Bedsheets and towels look old and faded. Better to carry your own of these and soaps etc.
2) Food takes a long time to deliver. They make at their site, so its very tasty, homemade food, but takes an average of an hour. Its better to order and go around the place and come back in an hour. Room service is not available except for tea/coffee. No good food outlets outside or nearby.
3) Mosquitoes will be an issue during hot climate. We went in January where nights were cold and pleasant and mosquitoes did not cause an issue. But it will be a problem during hot weather. Mosquito net is available in every room
I've been coming here for the last 20+ years. My getaway closest to home.

Manoribel is locked in time. The place looks the same, the food tastes as great as ever and the ambience hasn't changed. I love the tranquillity this place brings with it. Avoid weekends and public holidays if you are like me. You can even come here just for the day and enjoy their meals. Pay a day rate and grab a hammock if you want to enjoy a siesta or chill out with a nice book. The 60s and 70s music they play is just my type so I vibe with the entire essence of this place.
Sea food lovers can indulge in delights like Bombay duck fry, prawn chilli fry or fried prawns, if you prefer the curries then fish or prawn curry of the day is a must try. You must try their tendli pickle. If you love desserts, then try their custard pudding, their coconut pancakes, the coconut cake they give you for tea is to die for.
The staff has been around for years - they are polite, efficient and very hospitable. The beach has one safe zone for swimming - please ask the staff - coz the rest of the beach is very rocky and dangerous.
Must do when you are there in Manori - visit the village, walk on the beach, take a walk around the herb garden in the complex and even buy a few plants if you have green fingers.
For the sporty types, you can while away your time at the T-T table, carrom board, play some badminton. Climb up the treehouse for a nice view of the beach. Actually, even if you stand near the wall, you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the beach.

Last minute decision of cancelling our weekend booking at the resort and checking into Manoribel ...And boy we are glad !
Nice drive from Malad to Manoribel via utan village from bhayander...The cool breeze is refreshing once you cross the densely populated Mira Bhayendar Patch.
Food quality is excellent considering that the entire place is run by the locals and the menu has something for everyone ...Of course the sea food is the best I have had in any resort so far ! The staff is well behaved and courteous.
Ambience - Good family crowd , Cosmopolitan to a great extent. Clean rooms and nicely mashed the old style with modern amenities except a TV but who needs one when you can either laze around in the hammock and take a nap or read your favourite book or maybe take a walk on the beach or explore the local fishing villages ...Choice is yours !

Went to a friends wedding in Manori and their reception was held here. Staff friendly, well organised, breakfast was good.
Would recommend as either beach and sun type of place or perfect as a party venue
Wonderful place to unwind!

We wanted to take a small weekend off and somehow landed in Manoribel. While we had booked / blocked small room, we loved the view from beach facing villa and staff was prompt to help us get upgraded there. It was a dream lazy weekend trip and their staff was as friendly and as prompt as they can be at the same time affording us our privacy.
One of the very few places around which I would personally vouch to be kids friendly not only from activities front but also with attitude of everyone we interacted. Good homely food and awesome place to detox from Mumbaiâs hussle! Going to be there again soon.
