Staff harassed my family and ruined my special day.

Mayfair Kalimpong Staff harassed my family and Ruined our Special day!
Had booked the property for pre wedding photoshoot on 29th January , which turned out to be the worst nightmare for me, my fiancé, my family and my photographers. They single handily ruined the one day which was supposed to be special for us.
Even though we paid in advance the full payment for photography and had taken utmost care to maintain the decorum of the property, we were constantly harnessed from the very beginning.
The so called attitude and ego of staff even before the property has started is totally not acceptable.
The way the some of the managers and staff were passing comments as if were doing it for free when we were clicking photos even after making full payment reflects very poorly on your staff and your esteemed organization.
And the nail in the coffin was when one of the managers asked us to leave point blank and was rude to such an extent that my family was scared for their well being -just for pouring wine in glass to get photos clicked when we were not even informed about the rules of liquor at your property by your staff.
I am sorry to say but when you charge someone for your service you cannot harass the customers for your own sloppiness.
There is a way to address your customers and they should be treated as guests and not as liabilities.
We are simple people who wanted to create special memories at your place, but you spoilt our trip.
Hope no one else faces this.
You have spoilt my money, resources, time, day and mood.

Have stayed twice and love the comfortable vibe.

We have stayed at the hotel twice, both times after failing to get rooms at Silver Oaks, elgin. We love this hotel and the food here. Staff is very nice and well and familiar with us by now after our multiple visits on all our holidays. We have stayed here for around 8 days spread over three consecutive years. They also got us a driver that we have used on more than one trip to the region because he was a favourite with the family.

This is the sweetes hotel ever! We just love it! The garden is well maintained, the old house is really from 1920 and the herritage rooms are original!
We felt as we went into a timecapsule. The bathrooms where oldfashion as well, but they had some half warm water. But who cares when you can get up in the morning and have a view on the himalayas?
The food in the restaurant was great , so was the excelente service. I just want to go back there! Best hotel ever for a romantic person!
Very good property

Nestled cosily in the lap of Himalayas, this hotel offers great views of Mount Kanchenjunga. We chose the heritage wing and were served breakfast on the first floor balcony. This was undoubtedly our best breakfast ever with the breathtaking surrounding view on a clear morning that was neither warm nor cold.
Skip Darjeeling, since it is filthy and overcrowded, and choose this place to spend your entire vacation instead if a relaxing holiday is what you truly want instead of sightseeing pit stops as in a package holiday with your heels eternally on wheels!
Horrible experience as the hotel is sold out Mismanaged staff

We had booked this hotel way before in Jan, 2016 and checked from time to time with the hotel personals about our reservation. Upon arrival on the hotel at 2: pm on our first day there was nobody to attend us. we were told that the hotel is sold out to Mayfair. We were in a fix as there was nobody to tell us what was happening and neither did the hotel staff informed us about this. We called up the manager Mr Nigam. He said that he would be coming at 5 pm. We waited for him as we had no other option. Mean while the Mayfair people wanted us to shift from that place. They even tried to show us other hotels but those were not upto the standard. When Mr Nigam came, he ensured us that all the facilities would be provided to us in this hotel only what hotel had promised us earlier. Hence we decided to stay. The stay was nice and comfortable and Mr Nigam took care of everything. But the Mayfair people were very rude and didnot want us stay. It was because of Mr Nigam we were able to enjoy a comfortable stay as last customer of Himalayan Hotel.
