If you talk about hotel mehar. Must visit hotel. It is an excellent hotel with old looks. Pure family hotel with gentle staff. Good old type of rooms and pure to watch nature from the window. If you guys are going to dulhousie, you should stay in this hotel. First it is very much near to market, it has one rate. Staff is obedient and gentle. You can have good view of nature. Preferred rooms: 49,48.
It is completely family hotel. Great atmosphere all around.

Old property at throwaway prices at awesome location. You will wake up with mindblowing views. Close to gandhi chowk which is an added advantage. Hotel seems very hold so has rustic charm about it . I had breakfast which was good.

We had gone to Himachal Pradesh in November 2016. The last leg of our trip was in Dalhousie. We were four persons and we had no prior booking in Dalhousie. We browsed through some travel magazines and got this hotel's phone number. I called up the hotel and Mr. Dewan Chand Surya(Manager) picked up the call and when we asked if any rooms were available confirmed that there was. I told him that since we were travelling we could not advance any payment on which he booked one room(4bedded) for us for 3 days just on our verbal conversation. When we actually reached this hotel and learnt about its history we were awestruck. This is a heritage property located 2 minutes away from the main Gandichowk area. This hotel is around 110 years old and in 1937 Netaji Subash Chandra Ghosh stayed in this hotel in Room Number-12.The manager on seeing us himself asked if we would like to stay in Room Number-12 which was a dream come true for us. As to the rooms all of them are very spacious, well lit and with all modern day amenities. They have their own restaurant which serves tasty, fresh but inexpensive food. The room rent, though it is a heritage property are very cheap with a 4 bedded room coming in at Rs 2000/ day only. The behavior of the manager, staff and staff of the restaurant were very warm and cordial always alert to our every need.Would definitely recommend everyone to stay at this hotel on their visit to Dalhousie. We revisited this hotel on our 10th wedding anniversary.We had bcveen to this hotel for our honeymoon in 2006. Revisited in may 2016. It is very conveniently located. The property is no less than a five star property. only they need to update with things like Wifi and other modern amenities.Really loved this place. Will recommend this hotel . Parking is not there but paid parking is available in front of the hotel. It is cheap and best.

This is a budget hotel and almost perfect for you to stay if you are here for a day or two. For longer stays, it is not that highly recommendable as the rooms ( at least in summer time ) have some small bug infestation problems as I saw some spiders crawling in my room. But that might just because of the high temp.
