Never come to this hotel.
I have spent the worse night I ever had in a hotel
In a few words no heating in the room even if I called to complain. The only answer was, yes sir, everything works well. Check !!!
I found hair in the bathroom, cleaning....
Very difficult to have a shower, or I only opened warm water and it was very warm, or I opened also cold water and it was VERY cold.........
At least, no one professionnal in this hotel
Find something else if you want to have a nice stay

We went in for a quick coffee, parked in the adjoining car park (assuming it belonged to the hotel). The following week a letter arrived in the post demanding £100! Wtf? Lovely little CCTV photos were provided of the car entering and leaving the car park (a 37 minute stay). Why didn't someone at the hotel make us aware of this? Surely we weren't the only ones stung. You should have a sign up to warn people that you do not own the car park. We certainly won't be back.

Attended the New Years Eve party night with over night stay.To begin with 2 out of three couples had trouble with their room keys not working. Room 202 shower was unusable but time was pressing when we discovered this so we left it. The DJ did come around asking for requests and until just before midnight was good although Ed Sheeran number 1 was never played although requested by 3 tables at least neither were any Script. The actual count down of New year was projected on the wall but seemed rushed/mixed into the last hour being of unheard of African/disco music for the enjoyment of the DJ's friends. This cleared most of the paying guests away and we retreated ourselves with our final drink of the evening to a lounge area due to the volume of the unheard of music. When we retired our friends then could not get in their room due too key problem and had to go downstairs for help. We were looking forward too breakfast but this was a nightmare. No glasses for juice, no egg so we asked for fried egg they arrived 5 mins after we had all finished our breakfast but were still waiting for coffee and toast which took 4 times of asking before it arrived. One girl who had been asked twice even blanked out a request whilst she cleared the table behind us. . Breakfast took almost an hour it was only on the fourth time of trying that we asked a young lad called Tom that we got coffee and toast. This young man had been working his socks off the previous night and at breakfast and deserves recognition for being a total contrast to the others.

My wife and I were on a night out with friends in Penkridge. Our daughter was a grandparents so rather than pay £30 for a taxi each way we thought we would stop over. I think we were the only guests. The room was fine even though it was grubby in places. I was told to call reception if we needed extra towels or anything else. One towel between two? Obviously we would want more. On our return at midnight our key card wouldn't work and there were no staff. Finally a porter rocked up after we had shouted helll loudly and done a jig in front of a cctv camera.
In the morning, the guy on reception said the chef hadn't bothered to turn up nor the waiting on staff. He offered to cook us breakfast but was on his own. We thanked him for the offer but said we would check out and go to the garden centre on the way home. What I find really rude is that despite leaving our number with the reception and calling up later to speak to the manager we have not been recompensed for the lack of breakfast. We were charged £77 for bed and no breakfast. Manager needs to hurry up and return my wife's calls.

Attended our works Christmas party on Saturday evening. In total there were around 250 party goers there. The meal was by far the worst attempt at Christmas fare I have ever had. things started off reasonably as the starter was a tepid soup, not sure of ingredients. There was then a very long wait for mains. When they arrived they were very small, very tasteless and very cold. After exchanging 3 times for a meal which was barely warm the cold vegetables arrived. Insulting and embarrassing. To say the chocolate fudge cake was over cooked was an understatement, it bent the cutlery. To finish off coffee was served, well when I say served, the cup arrived but no coffee. I have never left 1 star before but feel this is the absolute most they receive. Also there was a hair in my drink but it took so long to get served I couldn't be bothered to wait again so we left. The chap who "appeared" to be in charge, just stood about shaking his head. I think due to numbers they were completely out of there depth.
