We took the cooking class with Harish and Vivek. It was so much fun and we learned so much about Indian food. My husband had no interest, but agreed to come because it was also our dinner. We were enchanted by it, and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Even if you have no interest in cooking, you will be very happy to have learned about all the spices that are used and how they do it. Have fun and thank you, Marcia

This place will very aptly give u a view of Lake Pichola from your room and because of that I have given it this rating - view wise. Other than that rooms are clean but ordinary and a bit small (including very small washrooms). Food is average, but that's the case is most of the places in Udaipur n Jodhpur. If you r a fan of nice spacious rooms, then would recommend checking other options as well. Location and view wise it's highly recommend.
Perfect location and lovely people

We stayed here for five nights at the end of a touring holiday in Rajasthan. We thought Udaipur would be perfect for some rest and relaxation at the end of our holiday and so it proved. We had room 202 which was so prettily decorated with a stunning view of the lake. The room is compact but cases can be stored under the bed and thereâs hanging space for clothes so we didnât feel cramped at all. The bedroom was evidently freshly decorated but the bathroom was a little tired. Nonetheless it was clean and the room was refreshed every day. Laundry service was brilliant and we reported a small problem with the electrics on our first day which was immediately sorted out.
The reception staff were friendly and the owner, Harish, is a genuinely lovely man, always keen to help and to make suggestions to make our stay memorable. He recommended the Rajasthani culture show at the neighbouring Haveli and we had a fabulous evening there.
Breakfasts were very good. We ate in once and the food was fine, but there are so many non vegetarian restaurants nearby and we were at that stage in our time in India where we wanted a break from vegetarian food.
The location is simply superb. Itâs quiet, I was woken by the birds on the lake. All of the major attractions are in easy walking distance.
So why not 5 stars? No WiFi in the rooms and even sitting in reception or the shop to log on, the WiFi was patchy. Travellers expect good connectivity and I know Harish is aware of this and is taking steps to fix it.
If we were lucky enough to return to Udaipur we would definitely choose to stay here.
Average property with average food

Started at this property for 1 night. The rooms are really small and the washrooms even smaller. The food is just ok but nothing to write home about.
Where this hotel excels is the location which is bang near lake pichola, city palace, jagdish temple and bagore ki haveli. Also the views from rooms and terrace are nice.
Please be informed that the property and last 2 highlights (mentioned above) are accessible only on foot or an auto rickshaw. Ola/uber cabs will drop you some distance away as these are not allowed in this area.
