We had selected this hotel for an over night stay. The rooms are no where close to what are shown in the photos. Even after pre-booking the rooms, on check in I was provided a lower category room. I had to ask the reception for another room. Food takes a long time to deliver even when there are no guests and then the taste is also below average. Not recommended at all.

We arrived on 24th Noon for a check-in, the front desk asked us to pay 600rs per head for "complimentary christmas eve dinner" I politely refused and said we do not wish to have dinner at the stay and wanted to explore nearby places. The guy at Front desk got extremely agittaed and said he would not allow us to check-in untill we paid 2400rs. At this point i started questioning him about why this christmas eve dinner was mandatory for all guests and why force us to pay the money and deny check-in. This guy and his manager just did not budge and kept arguing that it was mandatory for all guests to pay 2400 and have dinner at their hotel. Even when i said if you are making this mandatory dinner i would not want to check in and asked him to return my money which i had booked for a night 2 rooms. I was disgusted to see him and his entire crew refuse to give in at the cost of losing a customer. They were sooooo arrogant and rude ... what made me soooo angry is the way they respond to tourist with total arrogance and even totally cool to let go just for the sake of 2400rs dinner eve... which is made mandatory even to chcek in with no logic??!!( plz note we had already paid full amount of room reservation online).. My advice to fellow travellers ... there are better mannered front desk and managers in hotels at thekkady... Please DONOT book Michales INN at any cost .... such a disrespectful team!

Nice hotel located near periyar. Staff is friendly & rooms are nice. Food is good. Opt for included breakfast and dinner if available. The only con is slow wifi. Periyar ticket centre is at walking distance.

Stayed 1 night as part of a tour. Hotel set off main road so quiet. Rooms are a strange shape but beds comfortable enough. Narrow bathroom and water goes all over the place. Lot's of hot water which is good given the cool weather at night.
Good food provided.

Good rooms, compound and definitely that yummy free breakfast was awesomely delicious. Dosa omlate and many more. We forgot our camara here and the kind staff send us that to Ahmadabad so thanks to them . love it.
