We stayed at Mimpi resort for 2 nights - when we arrived after a long trip they had upgraded us for free. We stayed in an amazing villa with our own little privat garden. The bed is amazing and the bathroom is very well cleaned. The staff was incredibly kind and the breakfast was ok.

Beautiful hotel, attentive courteous staff and an amazing room!
We had room 1, the first beach front room, the layout was excellent with a sheltered area to comfortably lie and look out to sea.
One person though was exceptional, Mimpi's driver, Gday, he was friendly and thoughtful, brilliant on the journey to Seminyak.
Great ambassador for the hotel!

I stayed at Mimpi Tulamben for four days and had a great time. The room was very nice and had good quality mosquito nets and hot water (which I learned not all hotels here have). I went on six dives (three to the Liberty wreck) - the dive masters were very kind and helpful. I will say I much preferred the reef dives to the Liberty wreck dive, although it's worth going to the Liberty wreck once to see it. Liberty was just super crowded, even at 7 am, but the reefs were beautiful and way less popular. Just off the beach of the hotel (which as a heads up is not a sandy beach but is rocky, albeit beautiful in its own way) there are a number of sunken statues and such making for a nice small reef of sorts, so you can put on snorkel gear and walk out from the pool and see some nice fish. Diving was the main purpose of my trip.
The food at the hotel was fine. They have a great drink that has coffee and chocolate ice cream and vodka at the hotel's only restaurant. There are a few other restaurants nearby if you need, but I found there was enough food that was alright to get by for a few days. If I had stayed longer I definitely would've went to another spot for food.
My only complaint was with the massage. The spa was a room with a massage bed. My masseuse wasn't listed on the schedule of masseuses that was posted at the "spa," which probably should've tipped me off. The woman was very kind and pleasant, but she had no idea how to give a massage and she actually really hurt my shoulder. She also only worked for under an hour even though I'd reserved 90 minutes. Would NOT recommend spa services at this hotel.
Everything else was lovey. Special shout out to Gede (very common name in Bali), the hotel's driver, who got me from the airport and brought me to my next destination. He's amazing and I highly recommend you do a little touring around with him if you can!

Nice relaxing atmosphere , friendly staff.... although the guy on the reception wasn't the most friendly guy on bali !ð
Rooms were clean and nice to stay in, open air bathroom.
Food in general was OK..., nothing exceptional.
Diving center is available in the resort, fairly priced.

This was our second stay in Tulumban for the macro and wreck diving. The Mimpi is definitely one of the nicest resorts in the town. The Villas are comfortable, a decent size and set in well maintained gardens. The inside-outside bathrooms are fine although they are looking a little worn. The service throughout the hotel is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Food is very reasonably priced and generally very good but especially nice if you order local dishes. Finally a thank you to the dive team. The guides were experienced and very flexible and the team took care of all our equipment throughout the stay. Only down sides are the pool which is freezing and slightly erratic internet connections.
