On a bike trip with my brother and sister. We booked Mole Cottage last minute due to a breakdown, and could not have been happier to have stumbled upon it.
Rooms were quirky, but very comfortable, with everything you could want or need. There was nothing dirty in our room, so the previous reviewer must have been unlucky.
Pauline was very welcoming, and provided a fantastic breakfast cooked to order.
Honestly, the only letdown for us was the distance to the local hostelry for a beer, but other than that very happy. Would stay again without hesitation.

We stayed here overnight waiting to move into our new house the next day. Found it unbelievably delighful and every single little need had been thought about. A corkscrew and crystal wine glasses in our room along with a vast range of different teas etc and loads of other bits. There is a whole libary of DVD's to select from if desired that have been catalogued lovingly and a fascinating information/guide folder complete with little drawings of moles. SO CUTE! Pauline is an amazing hostess and deserves lots of credit for providing 'a home from home' experience. If you want charm and a hostess who seems more like a friend then this is definitely the place to stay.

Amazing setting in a beautiful location. Pauline our host is a lovely lady she attends to all your needs and is a wonderful host. We will be visiting again as soon as we can. We were so welcomed right from our arrival and we felt like part of her family.

I can't believe how awful this place is. How on earth she can charge £80 per night is beyond me. The place is filthy. My bed had not been changed from the previous occupants and I had to sleep fully clothed on top of the duvet. I arrived at 11.30 and tried to find another hotel immediately but i was stuck there for the night. The cups were dirty and I had to wash them before use. The bathroom was just awful and dated although the showers itself was good. I have better dog towels to be frank . The loo had urine under the seat and it was just filthy. The hotel
Inspector would have a field day! Do not stay here unless you like chintz and clutter everywhere! She even left a manicure set in our room used and old of course ! I never stopped for breakfast on my rush to escape so can't comment on it. I imagine the crockery would need cleaning tho! It's strange how she only takes cash too . Wish i hadn't paid as it was just awful! I moved to Northcote manor at £225 p n but well worth it! I can only assume that all the excellent reviews were from people who felt sorry for the lady there. Apparently she was nice tho I never saw her. This should be on Air b&b at half the price and less. DO NOT stay here if you like cleanliness and modern!

A romantic idyllic cottage with views to store in memories forever. Rooms equipped with everything. Pauline a hostess with warmth and a welcome that is hard to find. We'll never forget a fantastic stay. Full of laughter and made to feel like family. Breakfast outshines most 5 star hotels. Coffee the best ever. Thank you.
