The rooms offer a great view of the countryside and the beds are comfortable; but the soundproofing from adjoining rooms is rather poor. Breakfast is fine but diner was rather spartan: there were two mains and two desserts (a fruit or curds with honey and nuts) to choose from, however it was not very expensive. The common living/TV room is a rather dreary affair, best avoided; on the other hand the outside grounds are lovely. The whole thing is a mix of hit and miss with, overall, a bit more "hits". But not much.

It seems to be not uncommon in Spain now for monasteries to convert themselves either partly or totally to hotel accommodation. There is no doubt that it provides something different, and the setting here is superb - tranquil and a sense of history. The central cloisters are superbly preserved and maintained, and create a special atmosphere. Our room was functional and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were ok if a little regimented, but then in many respects that is what the eating facility was designed for. Overall, an interesting and comfortable stay.

The setting and the building are fantastic. The room was ok and we had good views but the food was dreadful. We were with a company called Naturetrek. There was very limited choice - main course fish or meat. One night I had tuna salad starter; the main was a shrivelled beefburger and microwave chips (nothing else) and the desert was an apple. Breakfast was no better - the toast was done in the oven and you could have soled your shoes with it. Some of the staff were surly and unhelpful.

Don't take 100% my title literally. The experience is fine. I was expecting the room to be more like the typical from a monastery and not a regular hotel room without tv. (also guys there were dead bugs on our room....).
Staff from reception was correct and nice.
For us the best was the recently renovated cloisters, really nice actually (posting a pic).
We had dinner in the same monastery, the menu they have is delicious! very good quality of food. Service was a bit lost or were new.

As clear from it name this hotel is located in an old monastery, still under reconstruction. The building and its surroundings are beautiful. The public areas are nice but the rooms are very small and uncomfortable. The breakfast is relatively limited and only starts at 08:30, which is a bit late if you want to continue travelling. Google Maps easily found the place' but it was the wrong one and led us to the village center, about 6-7 km from the hotel. Wifi weak to not existing. A great potential not yet ready.
