We were very fortunate they had two available rooms for our very impromptu visit to Manapouri. The owners are terrific folks with a wealth of knowledge of the area (third generation residents). Clean, quiet, magnificent views and terrific walks. Breakfast was delicious, nice jams!!

Doubtful Sound in Fjord-land is an easier Trip via Manapouri. Less crowded than the alternative and equally impressive.

From the moment we arrived Philippa and Robert could not have been more hospitable - afternoon tea while we sat on the veranda and took in the stunning views. The en suite room was really comfortable and breakfast was excellent and loads of local advice on our questions. Not far from perfect.

Thank you Rob for your hospitality and making our second stay memorable. The guest house has a special place in our lives as we spent part of our honeymoon here 43 years ago. Yes it has changes a lot but then so have we. It still has that sense of history about it. In addition to the guest house the surrounding township of Manapouri and its nature walks makes any visit to the area special.

Property may date back prior to 1900, but accommodation was in good condition, well furnished, well located but with the feeling you had all you could see to yourselves. Breakfast was such that you may not need lunch. This is a bed & breakfast facility, so you need to have some where to go the dinner. Good eat place at motel within a kilometre of the property.
