Decent hotel

5 couples booked for the weekend, all booked the Hotel but the Hotel & Hostel are essentially different parts of the same building.
My husband & I and another couple, were lucky and got a nice room on the hotel side, very clean & comfy, however 3 other couples were put in the hostel side which Was a bit dated. Our only downside was the shower door was broken when we arrived. Planning to book for next year again though.

We Came to Dublin as couple for a one day business trip. Location is excellent. However, We didn't have a chance to check out our room. Why ? Because the receptionist told us that our room shower is leaking although we called the hotel to confirm our booking just few hours before arrival which is only half an hour before midnight as we are hospital staff coming from another county by bus. Imagine yourself in the middle of the night moving around to another place. They managed to book us a room with City Studios & Apartments by theKeyCollection. Will not book again at my place hotel and your excuse is not acceptable.

After reading a few of the reviews, albeit dyring my stay, I would like to advise people to take most with a pinch of salt and here's why:

I spent 3 nights in this hotel, my experiences were VERY far from bad!

The receptionist was friendly and very helpful; the room was clean and came with all required towels. The bed itself was extremely comfortable!

The breakfast was a simple but lovely breakfast - don't expect a gourmet breakfast!

The ONLY reason why I am not making this review a 5 star is because they could look at making the rooms a bit more sound proof especially from the traffic - but nothing a good pair of earplugs won't sort out!

All in all, yes I would recommend this hotel, but don't book a room for 2 people and expect a 3rd will just be allowed in the safety precautions are adhered to quite strictly!

After reading some of the reviews on here, me and my mother were worried about staying but were very surprised at how nice this place was! Our room was absolutely fantastic for the price, we booked a twin room and was given two double beds, and the room itself was huge. The beds themselves were really comfortable and upon taking the covers off the pillows to inspect them we found them to be extremely clean. The communal areas were again very well presented and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
For the price we paid (€49) we could not fault this hotel at all! I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin and would stop here again if I visited the city again.

Pros:
- Close to city centre & O’Connell Street
- Huge room
- Very Clean
- Comfortable beds
- Friendly staff
- Nice communal areas

Cons:
- Sink in the bathroom was in a bit of an awkward position
- Other guests can be noisy due to this also being a hostel

First of all what a absolute poor excuse of a hostel/ hotel. Receptionists are disgustingly rude. Asked them if we could have a taxi number he claimed no taxi would pick us up from this hotel. I had a triple room booked for me and my friend and my boyfriend who was flying in, got to 5am in the morning & he wouldn’t let him in! He stated he was going to cal the police! I would NEVER attend this hostel ever again, rude staff, lack of care to hostel, breakfast absolutely crap & smelly dirty rooms! Shower leaking, sercruity poor! Asked for some mayonnaise and he replied “ sorry I’m kicturn”

I would never return, all the reviews on this website saying the hotel is crap it’s absolutely true! Never ever again!
