When we reached Nani late at night we had a pleasant surprise as they upgraded us to the the suites which were excellent. The free breakfast was really good.The only drawback at the breakfast was that when the items finished there was a wait till breakfast items were replenished. But overall great stay at a very reasonable price.

Nothing wrong but also no real plusses. Good clean rooms and staff is fine. We were booked in a special needs room (without those needs) so that may have slightly tainted and affected the experience. Nicely located for Kollam purposes.

So, this is the 3rd time I am staying here in Nani and this time for 2 nights. It was good as usual and I was happy that I booked the Deluxe room (little extra money). Had a bigger room and a bigger bathroom. (the base room is way too small with bathroom).
I had booked it via a travel website so there were some issues with the payment etc (I can take the blame for it) but the front office lacked speed. There used to be a lady taking care of it and she wasnât around and she is very efficient.
Breakfast is nothing to talk about. You are better off having outside (Suprabatham is next door or you can walk to Fayalwan restaurant for Kerala food).
Pros.
1. Location, Location. Heart of Kollam, 3 mins from Station
2. Decent and upkeep is good
3. Decent Service
Cons
1. Small rooms and bathrooms
2. Not so great breakfast

We decided to stay in Kollam for a few days a we really liked the area. Hotel Nani was great - modern, clean, spacious and the evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. There was a wide range of dishes in the morning buffet, and this was equally good. The hotel is within walking distance from the train station, or a short auto-rickshaw. The area is buzzing and there are a few good restaurants locally, and also lots of interesting shops and stalls. Do take a local ferry around the backwaters if you don't want an expensive boat tour - this cost very little, and it lasted 2 hours giving us enough of a tour. If you want somewhere to stay that is modern, convenient, and provides excellent customer service then I would recommend this place.

Overall experience with this hotel is little above average. The front desk staff while checking in looks like confused about the room I have booked and the tariff of my room. I have booked twin bed room but they have allocated the same to some one else and I have to adjust with a double bed. Even though they promised me that next day they will try to accommodate me to a twin bed room but never happened. Rooms and bathrooms are neat and tidy. Hotel reception looks bit crammed. In my opinion the front desk staff need more training about the customers service. The hotel is centrally located and easily accessible by near by train station and state transport bus station. One more draw back I have to highlight is the absence of coffee and tea making facility at the room. Also there is no sufficient supply of hot water at the bathroom. Overall my experience with this hotel is a little above average. In terms of value for money itâs not at all worth. Breakfast doesnât have international option except bread and mostly local breakfast items.
