The owner of houseboat Yaqub Bhai and his brother ayyub Bhai both are very helpful persons.
The house boat is very superb i was come twice,room and food was excellent. Please visit at least one time in golden flower house boat.

I visited srinagar in july 2017 and stayed in New Golden Flower Heritage Houseboat which is located in famous Nigeen lake. The place is surrounded by hills. enjoy great sunrise and sunset from the deck of houseboat. This houseboat rooms is good with attached bathrooms, dinning and sitting rooms too. The food which was served was home made and taste of our choice. The service at this houseboat has no comparison. The owner of this boat Yakub Dunoo treated us like a family members. He is excellent guide, and arranged car for our sightseeing in Kashmir I recommend this houseboat to everyone who wish to visit kashmir.

Me and my wife visited Kashmir on our honeymoon trip and choose New Golden Flower Heritage Houseboat. We stayed in this houseboat for 3 Nights. The owner Yakub Bhai gave us a big surprise once we check in houseboat. He decorated our room and in the evening he provided Candle light dinner along with Honeymoon cake. Mr. Yakub Bhai arranged a cab for us and we visited Mughal gardens, Sonamarg, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Apart of this we took a shikara ride in the Nigeen lake and once again Yakub bhai showed his kindness and serve us a traditional Kashmiri Green tea "Kehwa" in the shikara itself. The houseboat is located in famous Nigeen lake and you can see the whole view of lake from this Houseboat as it is in the middle of lake.

Visiting Kashmir is actually visiting paradise, this is something which can be be felt only by visiting here.
There is an advertisement in television where an old man pretend to be a taxi driver just to make a tourist couple happy.
I think the advertisement is not exaggeration but most of the kashmiri pol are like that only. And Yakub Dunoo the owner of New Golden Flower house boat is like that only.
I think it was not a houseboat but a house itself. The hospitality offered at New Golden Flower was awesome. We have just provisioned 2 days in the houseboat but end up staying 4 days.
Ppl have a perception that taxi is a loot in kashmir and it is true to an extent. But luckily I chose New Golden Flower and trust me the Yakub treats their guests as a family and he will make sure you have best driver at a best price.
If you ask my 5 year daughter where she wants to go to this vacation and the answer will be kashmir. It is because of the comfort she has felt there.
Also I would like to add that The New Golden Flower is located at the Nigen lake's best location and for staying Nigen is better than Dal.

we had an amazing stay at the houseboat. whenever i used to read reviews before the trip and people used to praise yakub bhai. i had a figure in my mind who was old. but he is really young and charming. All house boats in kashmir has the same layout. three bedrooms with a dining and living room. The difference is only the service. The service has been topnotch. we asked for mutton gustaba which takes time for preparation and he readily accepted. His home is in the backyard of the house boat. i have stayed in another house boat but the service was not even 10% to the one recieved from yakubbhai. he arranges pickup from airport at a very reasonable price. you can rest assure you are in safe hands while you are in his house boat. After we checked out also he made sure that we are ok by calling us, This is the best house boat. The location also is really calm not like dal where we are chased when we take the shikari ride to buy some thing. WE WILL COME BACK. Kashmir is safe and an unbelievable place. the hypes in media is ruining the charm of the place.
