Plenty of style, comfort, cleanliness and friendly staff too. location is also great. Was here for a conference, but managed to get out to see the city. Couldn't fault the hotel at all, it's definitely one of the nicest I've stayed in.

We had a weekend here 2nd 3rd feb 18 on arrival we were told we were the guest of the day and were upgraded. the hotel is very nice clean and all the staff are very friendly and very helpful. location is great for all you need to do. We had lunch on Friday and the restaurant is very good great menu and the waitress was very nice.

Unfortunately I need to stay in Amsterdam from time to time and the NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace is great, in the sense that it is situated within short distance from Amsterdam C, making it so much easier to get away. The property, being part of the "Collection", is a notch above the run-of-the-mill NH. Reception and concierge were both friednly during my stay. The Vemeer was a nice restaurant, but the other all-day restaurant was just so-so. Confusing messages about servce charges for room service.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend Sept 24 to Sept 25. Absolutely no complaints about the rooms or the beds. We were even allowed to check in before 15.00 which was great. I had pre-paid the room in advance through a booking site, which was approximately â¬200. When we arrived at check in the reseptionist told us they would reserve a â¬100 fee, for safety reasons and in case we used anything from the minibar. «Okay» I thought, sounds fair enough. He said I would get the money back (that they would be released) a little while after checkout. The next day arrives, we check out, pay for a Heineken beer taken from the minibar and go to the airport. The hotel ordered a taxi for us, which was nice.
A week passes and I start to think about when the money will be released into my account again. I figure Iâll give it some more time. Two weeks pass. I decide to call the hotel and ask them where the money went because they had not been released back into my account (still havenât). They tell me that they have released the money but that it can take up to 48 hours for it to come back into the account, and it might take some time since the banks are in different countries, and they told me to call my bank and check.
So I did. The bank worker took 20 minutes and checked everything he could, to figure out where my money had gone. And he told me that the â¬100 had been withdrawn two days after our checkout. No signs of it ever being released back into my account ever. And that it should NOT take two weeks at all, regardless of different banks in different countries. So my bank recommended for me to call them again, and tell them what they had told me, and see what happened. And if the hotel didnât want to sort things out, I would have to file a police rapport, send a claim to my bank and they would send that to my credit card company. Iâm infuriated and exasperated. All because a hotel «stole» my money, when they had told me it would be released back into my account in a few days. This is a 5 star hotel, I expected more from you guys. â¬100 may not seem like a lot of money to some people, but it is a lot of money for me. If I never get my money back, oh well, that sucks... But treating customers like this is not ok.
I was hesitant to write this review, but I figure it can serve as a heads up for others.

Spent 2 nights here on my birthday which my girlfriend organised hotel was fabulous modern and fresh fantastic staff hotel left balloons and sweets for my birthday ðð½breakfast was great lots of selection fresh and hot ðð½fantastic over all and was able to have a late check out which was nice ðð½ looking forward to stay here again hopefully December as very central to everything 5 stars ðð½âï¸ âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸
