The building has a slightly dusty charm. Preserved from the days when the Maharajah actually ruled, it is full of pre-war period pieces. The front lounge is magnificent. Admittedly, it is a little worn in some ways - those period pieces include the lift and the light switches! You shouldn't come here for a contemporary, luxury stay, but to experience the by-gone ambience. It provides that very well. In practical terms, the room is comfortable enough, the wi-fi is adequate, though erratic, the restaurant food is good and the service is prompt. The lady at the front desk is sweet and helpful and a delight.

Did booking from booking.com...
Hotel reception dint received confirmation mail so rooms were not ready when we checked in. Same way breakfast was included but restaurant people were unaware about the same.
Rooms average, cleanliness poor,food is ok. Check expiry of tea bags n dairy creamer before using it. TV having humming sound.

How can a heritage hotel lose its charm? This one has, thanks to tight staffing that precludes even having a tea or soda anywhere other than the cold, dark and empty dining room if you want anything served to you outside of meal times. That, the empty fountains and the lackluster (read terrible) breakfast turn this formerly royal home into a sad shadow of its former self. Other things to be aware of: right next to train tracks, with hooting trains passing all night long. Iffy WiFi.

Property of palace and stay was too good. As well as the services provided were excellent met the Yuvraj of Palace and was quite good experience. Food quality was low as per the required quality that a property should have.

Had been here on a business trip and was looking forward to some delightful service so as I could feel pampered like a king. The place lacks basic up keep although the property is nice and could do so much better..The rooms although of do not have functional basic equipment..The service guys there were great though. Very helpful and polite. But for the price I paid for it..I think it was well worth it as I did not use their unkempt swimming pool and the disastrous toilets they had there in.
