Nothing special about this good or bad. Pretty clean. Four-person dorm with toilet and shower in the room. No fan or air circulation, so it does get hot in the room. Bar next door is fun to visit, but will keep the base and music going for late hours into the night when you're trying to sleep, so bring ear plugs. Location is decent. NZ$9 cab ride to the Ferry Terminal. They charge for wifi which isn't very good, but that's New Zealand, yeah nah!

Perfect location close to sights in the city and the 24 hour reception made checking in from a late flight very easy. Bunks were quite squeaky and loud and not too comfortable. Wifi was $4 a day which I thought was quite expensive especially as it doesn't work too well.

Good: Proximity to everything. 24-hour checkin. Some of the staff are great.
Bad: No internet. Poor ventilation in rooms, so itâs hard to sleep. One of the managers has extremely poor customer service skills. Kitchen is terrible, half of the stove tops donât work so cooking becomes a nightmare. Fridge is overcrowded.
I really wanted to like the place because of the location, free breakfast & snack-size dinner & 24-hour check-in. But the reality is it felt overcrowded & itâs impossible to get a decent sleep or use the kitchen in a civilized way, the breakfast was just boring pancakes and you needed to be there for 7am in order to make it, I was always out at dinner time because you had a only 1 hour window to collect your voucher & the customer service of one of the on-site managers was just downright poor. You should never shout at your customers, if you wish for repeat business.

we rented one room for two adults. staff were friendly and informative. there were not too much facilities in the room. only bed. the room was clean. good chip place for stay. only one things was to complain about - noise.. from party.. somewhere close to hotel. overall is fine

I was in a room with a double and single bed for 2 people. It was quite spacious, nice staff and relatively clean. The location is nice with Cuba Street and the water close by. However, the noise on the street does get to the rooms at night.
