Stayed here with my husband recently for a 2 night stay on a room only basis. Hotel room is your typical Novotel room - large and comfy bed, safe, tea and coffee facilities and the all important free wifi. Room, bathroom and all public areas were spotlessly clean. Staff were polite and helpful too.
Although the hotel is not in the city centre, it's only a 15 minute metro journey or 30 minute tram ride away and both modes of travel were regular and reliable and also included on our 3 day travel card. The metro station and tram stop are less than a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The only negative was that the breakfast prices are very expensive so we chose to eat it in the city centre, which suited us. However, I would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel located about a 15 minute drive from the centre of Amsterdam. Located on a main busy road it can be a little loud but choosing a higher floor ensures you are not disturbed. The staff are so helpful and friendly it is easy to relax at this hotel. The cafe on the ground floor serves breakfast items and the large restautant provides a good range of food. Good value, Friendly, business class hotel.

Not even a pen and paper in the room.
You can't use the sauna unless you specifically ask reception to activate your room key for it (I had to ask twice why the sauna door did not work, before they told me I had to do that).
One of the elevators did not work.
There is nothing around the hotel.
The minibar has nothing in it, except a bottle of still water.
Breakfast costs 22euros but the food is average.
Half the lockers in the sauna changing room do not work.
Anything you ask for has to be picked up at the reception, is not delivered to your room.
The floor is covered in an old carpet.
The view from my room was a parking lot and a highway.
I received a random email with a bill from the hotel during my stay (but was never charged).
Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The only upside is the easy connection to the airport.

We had a very good stay. We travelled with a baby and it worked out really well! The service staff was ordinary nice ( everyone we met !) and the location is really good. Only 5 stations to City Centre, 5 min Walk to the station. The breakfast was really nice, fresh orange juice etc.
We will come back!

Spend a night here during one of the January storms. The Hotel is convenient next to the motorway and the RAI exhibition Centre offering a lot of rooms. Friendly acceptance by the Staff and due to the early check-in, you have your room key in seconds. The restaurant they have is offering a nice, small amount of different dishes (weather was too bad to go out)
Rooms are nice but there is always a "but". Travelling with a duffle bag, there were no hooks on the wall to hang the bag. The cupboard they are offering is fine for your clothes, the duffle bag is too wide to fit in. This one of the small "but's". Another one was during check out, although I prepared the "fast check out" on the WWW, the invoice was issued on my home address instead of the Company address.Although they said they fix it and send a new invoice, it has not arrived yet...
Also having to catch an early flight, I was one of the first persons having breakfast. There is a wide variety of offerings, a so called rich buffet. It was a pity that the coffee machine was spending only luke warm water, I found out whilst drinking my tea. (Disgusting) Most probably the machine did not warm up well due to the early time of the morning. Will I visit again? There is some more to discover in Amsterdam, so probably not.
