Modern decor in a comfortable room ideally located next to the train station. The area is a bit run down and so the hotel provides a nice sanctuary - ideal if you have an early Eurostar to catch! The only disappointment was that breakfast did not live up to Novotel standards.

Situated in a somewhat run down area near Brussels Midi station the Novotel is an excellent position for those arriving by train. The room was large and very clean, the breakfast varied and plentiful and the staff helpful and friendly.

We were a bit unsure when we arrived at the hotel, it was more like a hostel, but when we got in the staff were absolutely brilliant, there was a few stairs to climb to get to our room but we were delighted with the room even though it was small the furniture was well thought out, it was minimal yet ample for all we needed. The location was perfect for the train station and an easy 0 minute walk into the town centre, absolutely loved the place.

My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights here at the end of December. We chose this hotel because it was very close to Midi station where the Eurostar stops and also where you can take trains to other cities such as Bruges and Ghent. To get to the hotel from the station you literally cross the street and walk 2 min. Itâs very convenient! To visit the city centre you can get the metro (2.10 Euro each way) from midi or you can walk for 15 min max. We walked every day and saved quite a bit on transport.
The room in the hotel was spotless, super comfy bed, powerful shower and very quiet (room 805 on 8th floor). Couldnât fault it. We also got breakfast included with out room which I would wholeheartedly recommend. Lovely dining area and very friendly waitresses. There was a wide variety of choice: several different types of cereal and toast, fruit, pastries (croissants, muffins, donuts etc), cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, sausages... very nice coffee and juice too.
The check- in and out was very quick and easy and the lady in reception was very lovely too helping us with directions etc.
Would definitely stay here again as I think itâs excellent value for money.

I had booked a Novotel instead of some local hotel as I at least wanted basic amenities, but it was very surprising that the restaurant did not serve lunch or dinner for the 2 nights we stayed.
The HVAC in the rooms were not working properly and we felt suffocated in the rooms.
The room service staff did not speak English, so that was inconvenient for us.
After the first night, I enquired at the reception to move us to the other Novotel Hotel near the city center, but they refused by saying that "the other Novotel is run by another management".
