Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff and offered an upgrade to our room for a few extra Euros, we given a recently renovated Executive room that had 2 queen beds and was perfect. We only had 4 jam packed days in Paris and wanted to make the most of the days and the staff were always friendly and very accomodating with all our requests. The location of the hotel was so central for all our needs. It was close to 5 metro lines and 3 suburban train lines, the forum below had many cafes and restaurants that we enjoyed as well as a shopping centre near by. It was just before Christmas and the streets were busy and lively and we loved every moment of our stay. The only downside was that on our first night which happened to be a Saturday the partying in the streets below could be heard be in our room till the wee hours of the morning so it took a while to fall asleep, but once asleep we slept well. Have recommended this hotel to friends who have also booked and stayed and enjoyed their stay there. Will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff , facilities and attention to detail is excellent . I would Recommend the Novotel to travellers everywhere as it provides all the requirements to ensure a fantastic stay in the city of love !!

I really researched this hotel before booking it but was so disappointed. First, the positives - large screen smart TV, great location, friendly and professional staff. Now to what we did not like; we booked an Executive Double room with 2 double beds but when we arrived we were given a lovely room on the 6th floor but with 1x queen bed. I didn't not relish the idea of sleeping in close quarters with my adult daughter so returned to reception to get the room we had reserved. We were allocated a room on the 2nd floor, it was dark, tiny window, looked liked they forgot to furnish it (photo attached). That night, a smell of cigarettes came through the air conditioning which became overpowering. The bathroom had the shower over the bath but without any slip mat or handrails and as I was getting into the shower the glass screen closed and cut my leg. I did not want to stay in this room so in the morning asked reception to change our room. We were going out sightseeing for the day and they assured me that it would be taken care of by the time we returned. It was not. The receptionist told me that they had cleaned the room and hoped the smell had gone away. When I mentioned the issue with my cut leg she said that she had recalled that but they only had a room with a king bed. That was fine and also on the 2nd floor, again it was very dark with a small window. They advertise on their in room hotel services that there is free non alcoholic minibar in executive rooms but when i asked the reception staff said there wasn't. Minibar is one of those computerised ones that charge when anything is removed. They state that this is for my convenience and that it cannot be used as a fridge. Movies are charged at 8 Euros. Everything seems like a grab for extra money. I found this annoying and bad form given the price of a room. Breakfast as mentioned by many others is pretty poor. I actually saw one of the staff picking up food that had spilt (dried fried etc) with her fingers and putting it back in the bowl, using her hands to move bread etc- revolting. I tried to boil and egg 3 days in a row and failed miserably -I couldn't cook it in 4, 7, 9 or 11 minutes!
On checkout I was told that the room was fully paid except for 50 cents? What? I said I'm not paying that and it turns out that it was a hotel error! How ridiculous.
The hotel has all the qualities for a terrific stay but quality control in many areas is certainly lacking.
I would not stay here again. It felt dirty and I don't like the money grab for extras.

Stayed here for four night during a business trip.
The staff was very nice and friendly.
I got a really nice room on the 3rd floor.
bear in mind, this hotel has been going through renovations, which seems to be completed but not entirely.
Initially, i was given a room on the 1st floor. not a good idea at all as this floor was NOT renovated yet and he not pleasant with many rooms have only a single window facing the inner space of the hotel (above the breakfast restaurant.
the hotel is not easily accessible via cars, you have to get off near it, but cannot stop in front of it. a challenge if you have people with mobility issues.
The breakfast was really great and fresh!

Decent hotel. Very good location easy to move around. Rooms need renovation but are clean and good enough. Breakfast very good and rich. Restaurant was also good enough. Have to say a word for Marco at the reception... this guy is amazing and very helpful.
