We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were tidy, room service was great too. The swimming pool was very much appreciated after a long trip getting here. Reception lady was very helpful. A very good stay.

Family room with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds, bathroom and kitchenette. Good clean and quiet room, well located to the airport which was important as we had a 5.30am check in.
Would recommend again.

This accommodations has much going for it. Let me start with the good. Room is large, bright, with kitchenette, terrific shower, and 3 beds. Shower had stainless steel floor and beautiful glass and chrome door. There are several electrical outlets. It had nice big fluffy towels.
The staff were very nice especially the many-hatted shuttle driver.
The exterior grounds look terrific at a glance. It must be hard to maintain.
Location is near Auckland airport and their free shuttle picks up and drops off frequently. It boasts a laundry, long term parking, onsite restaurant and pool.
The downside is some items like the sliding glass entry door, windows and curtains need updating. One window nearly fell out when opened. There is no A/C (not needed when I was there). The lovely shower has no platform for soap, shampoo, glasses, etc. Bed was okay. Lighting was updated but harsh. There was a funky smell in both the room and lobby that may be from a cleaning process or cleaner.
This place has possibilities. Ask to see the available room to make sure it works for you.

This property was booked for us from the Aukland airport, sight unseen! Never again! We ALWAYS look at the room before taking it. This one was like going back in time. We could open the windows (no air con), but not lock the windows open securely, the toilet seat was loose, no mirror in the bathroom, lighting was poor. There was no waste paper basket in the bathroom, and there was no security lock on the door! The value of the room, we thought, was less than $100, but the room price was more than twice that!! To add insult to injury, they wanted $10 each for the breakfast in the morning, no way...we went down the road!

I arrived at nearly 11pm and the staff were friendly and helpful even at that time of night. Oakwood provided a courtesy van to the airport the following morning - PLUS I could leave my car there free of charge which was fabulous.
