This hotel is only for those Travelers / Tourists / Backpackers who need and are satisfied with basics or may be less.
Location of the Hotel is Excellent & Best , exact 100 mtrs from East Gate entrance of Taj . Vehicle can not go directly at the hotel gate. You have to walk 5 minutes with your luggage to reach hotel. But never mind if you have 1 or 2 luggage / trolleys . For a family with lot of luggage's can be troublesome .In front of the hotel gate there are big Golf carts (Rs.10) & Mini Buses (Rs.5) , which will take you to Shilpgram for buying taj tickets then drop you to East Gate. The transport is frequent , every 2-3 minutes you will get it.
There are barriers / police check points in that stretch (East Gate to shilpgram) No auto or cycle rickshaw can go beyond a point .
The Hotel surrounding is quite nice with 3 sides greenery , spacious property . Just outside the hotel gate small shops are there for you to buy souvenirs . Golf Cart and Mini Bus stop is also there.
Rooms are value for money. Getting an AC room for not more than 1000 bucks. Tariff may differ from one travel website to other. I booked it through Goibibo. Got a good deal from them. AC rooms are far more better than Non AC. There is a Double Bed , a small table , a mirror , small open space to keep little things and AC . Thats it nothing more than this. They will give you 1 soap and two towels only, forget about other stuffs.
One more thing, i did a little stupidity .After reading the reviews in Trip Advisor i was doubtful about clean rooms but then also i booked it, then on the day of Check In - luckily i met Ankit Bansal (Owner) and asked him if i can get a clean room and he gave me .I would suggest pls call them first , ask your queries then do the booking
There is no room service so they haven't kept any telephone the line , not even a water jug or glass inside the room. But if you need anything then after 4-5 follow ups they will provide you. They tend to forget things as they are not habitual of room service i guess.
Avoid their food . Its very expensive and tasteless.Only prefer in case of emergency like you are very hungry , you don't have time to go out. Also bad service in their restaurant too , have to ask them several times.
Lot of facilities are mentioned but they are not available.

I stayed here in October 2017. I booked 'Standard room with fan'. When we entered in hitel premises we fall in love with premises, but when we opened our room we dissatisfied. Room was smelling. We asked for room freshener but they didn't provide. Toilet was not clean. Food was good. Vehicle can not go directly at the hotel gate. You have to walk 5 to 7 minutes with your luggage to reach hotel.

Great place to stay for an Agra stop over. Taxis can't drive right to it so if you are picked up at the station then the driver will drop you up the road from the east gate entrance around 150 Mtrs away. Simply walk to the Taj entrance. Turn right you will see the hotel on your left. I stayed in the most expensive room type. Wall to wall tiles. Ceiling fan. It was great for just one night. Set in quiet tranquil and peaceful gardens. Nice little resturant on site. I recommend the lemon tea.
Checking was super fast. Room was clean and simple. Tip. Take a travel kettle.
I got up early. Did the Taj. Was back by 11am. I checked out. They securely stored my case until the evening. Brilliant.
I would definately stay again and recommend. It really is best placed for a visit to the Taj Mahal.
Only issue. Some dodgy looking electrics in the bathroom.

Me and my friend are on holiday in India for a few weeks, we stayed at Hotel Sheela for 2 nights. When we first arrived we had the option of 2 rooms, one of which you had to fill up a plastic bucket for hot shower water or the other had a hot running shower, we decided to go with that one. The hotel was average but could do with a lick of paint. This hotel is good if you are going to Agra for the Taj Mahal as itâs a 2 min walk up the road. Overall Hotel Sheela was an average stay, nothing special but make you sure you take warm clothing and ear plugs as the rooms were very cold at night and the main road out front was noisy at nighttime.

I was staying at Hotel Sheela in November 2017. I was so amazed with the surroundings as it was really peaceful and nice place with beautiful gardens. What i really love about the hotel is definitely the location that really near to the Taj Mahal and the markets. The staff were also very attentive and helpful. Good job guys!I strongly recommend this place.
