I visited munnar thrice. This time stayed at orchid highland. previously i stayed at candy windy and Devonshire ...They were excellent. But Orchid highland was worst. In our two day stay , last day was a vehicle strike in kerela and one lady in the front office of the hotel behaved very badly without co operating us. Actually most of the staffs are from outside kerela....And very professional. We stayed in hotels in other parts of kerela where the staffs are kerelite & very warm and cordial...I request the owner to appoint some local guy otherwise it is hampering the image of kerela... Moreover the hotel is far away from town ....My suggestion is to avoid this hotel.

Hi All,
Orchid is a best place in Munnar to stay as it has awesome view, facilities and there is no word for impossible in Orchid.Price is very phenomenal and happy satisfaction as a overall experience.
The people in Orchid does excellent job and they does the best to all the people who stays in the place.

I was given a room in the corner of the erd floor which opened on to the back wall and smelled of drainage water. In fact, there was no view from the room and the stench in the room was so bad that I couldn't sleep properly at night.
The lift kept bypassing my floor whenever I tried to come back to my room - the floor numbers in the lift are confusing too, as has been pointed out by a number of reviewers already.
The washroom was not clean and there were stains. The food was not up to the mark, even though I had paid extra for a special Christmas dinner it was simply not worth it.
All in all, a hotel best avoided. There are so many good hotels in Munnar to choose from with amazing views - so I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed there for couple of days.. The staffs are really good.. Food is tasty and really great facilities. Rooms are neat and clean and hygienic.. Awesome service.. What else i should say.. A definite 5star for me..!!!

Good hotel located at nice location but no AC in the room, the bath area is too much congested. Food was satisfactory, staff behaviour at Restaurant was good as like their service. Overall satisfactory stay....
