They made us feel at home making us eat the best chicken and served like our own maid at home. The lobby is cosy and felt like a family seating. Rooms are lavish and big with private verandah. Best deal for short stay.
Will visit again

This is definitely worth a visit. The property is huge, well maintained and bang on the main road. The garden is superb with a great view of the valley and the staff was courteous enough to serve food at the garden far from the restaurant. A very peaceful place with all positive vibes. The evening local folk music performance was outstanding. Something I could not get to hear in Udaipur and even Jaisalmer. The food was excellent and economic (we had ala carte). The rooms were lavish and huge. Very well maintained. The curtains, linens everything upto the mark. This hotel doesn't seem to have a lift but that can be ignored as this is a heritage property. The crowd was decent with no loud music or DJ to spoil your vacation. There was some construction going on when we went, but that is a temporary issue and cannot out do the positives of the hotel. Definitely recommended.
Too noisy due to construction

The rooms are beautiful and the grounds are charming. A heritage hotel, without a doubt. But there is construction going on at the moment, which makes it impossible to sleep. The kitchen is also extraordinarily noisy, with people yelling at 4 a.m. Food is average and pricy. The staff are excellent but I would recommend that no one stay here until the construction is completed. Paid 120 usd for the night as was woken up at crack of dawn by the noise. Wish the hotel alerted guests about construction beforehand.
Palatial

When you arrive, the place looks the part : stately colonial style with large driveway and garden. The room we had was massive ; huge bedroom, with extra sitting room, bathroom with shower and bath, separate toilet (you could get lost in the bathroom !). Likewise, the sitting/reading room downstairs is huge ; there is a bar in one side, but the drinks are a little pricey. The whole place is large and it can get quite cold there in the mountains, so wear something warm because it is impossible to heat these large rooms. The size of the bar, the cold and the gloomy pictures on the wall do come across as "uncomfortable" or "Adams Family", lacking warmth or coziness.
Maybe because we were the only people on the night, the restaurant also lacked "warmth", but the food was good.
I'm sure this place would feel better, with a good ambiance, if more customers had been around.

our each visit to Abu we explore New hotel every time. But we really liked this palace hotel and decided to stay again.
Very big rooms. Real heritage charm in decor and furniture..big bathrooms too..
Large garden and tennis court .Real palace feel.
Breakfast spread is good but average compared to this type of property..and tap water was little muddy ..
Little far from lake so u must have your own vehicle..
Staff is helpful .
