What People are saying
Good central location

Stayed in an apartment for 3 people for 3 nights. The apartments are in a central location near bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. There are really good transport links, the nearest metro station is only a few minutes walk away and the tram stop for the number 28 tram is just outside the hotel. The Palacio Camoes apartments were very easy to find and easy to get to by public transport from the airport. The apartment we stayed in was lovely and clean and very spacious and had everything we needed. There is no reception area and access to the building and apartments is by access codes which were e-mailed to us before we arrived. We found this very easy to use and had no issues. Would definitely stay here again.
Untrustworthy- feeling conned by a slick deceptive marketing operation

With Lisbon Apartments trust is totally misplaced.
Booking apartments or accommodation when travelling is always based on trust - trust that you will get what you think or were led to believe in writing that you had booked. It is not a lottery. Fortunately in my experience this trust is generally well founded and expectations are met or exceeded.
Not so with Lisbon Apartments
I received an email from Lisbon Apartments advising confirmation of my booking two days before arrival. The title of the email was " One bedroom superior apartment (with Tagus river view).
The text of the email repeated the same information. However the apartment had no Tagus river view, it hardly had any view - the main window, small, 4 feet from the floor looked directly into the external stone balustrades
The apartment was not superior for example the round painted dining table had 15-20 5 cent size holes in the surface- like a bad case of Acne or worse. The stem of the table was dirty, one of the four wooden chairs was unsafe to sit on as the back was loose and the green paint scratched and worn. i.e The type of furniture that you find or put out on the street.
The lighting leading to the apartment was faulty so at night the only way to see where you were going in total blackness was with an iPhone torch- we assisted other tenants to find their room.
The apartment management is totally virtual - no presence other than cleaners-you are given access codes and a phone number. There was no written information provided on arrival about the location of the apartment relative to services, shops, restaurants, supermarkets or transport in Lisbon, no maps - nothing. The provision of such information had been standard practice in the five other apartments we had stayed in the previous 3 weeks.
The bedroom was up a flight of stairs on a mezzanine floor, The bathroom, rather than being next to the bedroom was down stairs off the lounge. Take your life in your hands for the mid night pee. The bathroom was depressing with a poor quality stained vanity, surgical stainless steel sink and dripping soap dispenser - onto the vanity and then onto floor when we arrived .
Overall a really superior apartment ???. it failed the 45 second test. The feeling was that of a cabin of a trading ship without a porthole.
On complaining to the management by phone the response was " if you can find alternative accommodation in Lisbon within an hour or so we will give you a full refund"- sounds good - however Lisbon was packed to the rafters so after a a frantic 2 hour search using the web and visiting the tourist information office and talking to helpful local restaurant staff we gave up looking and stayed on -no one had had three days free.
This accommodation is to be avoided- however if you are risk taker you may well win the lottery and have apartment with beautiful river views and serviceable furniture and fittings - on the other hand you may not.
Strange concept in an IKEA furnished apartment

We rented a single with the bedroom on a steep staircase, somewhat worrisome if going down at night. Turn the lights on!
As noted by the other reviews, the location is great, the apartment clean. Getting in and out with the codes given to you By internet was easy though it seemed to frustrate other renters who had a hard time getting in. Took us a while finding the internet wifi pass....it is on a board both in the Elevator and on the apartment wall. A nice grocery store is basically in next door.
Beware of Saturday nights, we tried to sleep w the windows open but it is a noisy neighborhood with people carousing and singing clearly in high spirits, which also discouraged us from getting out after ten o'clock at night.
Modern well located apartment - limited views

We stayed here in a family of 3 for a short break.
The location is great. Very central and convenient for most of the central attractions and atmosphere.
The apartment is modern and clean, with all mod cons. Use of the apartment is automated and you get all access codes upfront. All worked painlessly.
One criticism is the fact that there were no window views in the main living room/kitchen area. The windows were high up and only served to let in some light. No views, apart from the top bedroom, which had a panoramic river view. There was also a view onto the veranda area below, where you could see the lucky ones who had an apartment with veranda access.
I'd stay here again, but only if the room has windows with a view. Make sure you check on that before booking. Some of the photos will have you believe that all rooms have a balcony and view, though it seems to be limited to certain rooms. Our living area was slightly dark, with no person level windows to see out of.
That didn't spoil my stay, though I'd expect a better room next time.
Fantastic

I read a review of this place just before I arrived, saying out was dirty and horrible so I was a bit worried, to say three least, but it couldn't have been more wrong, the apartment was beautiful and spotlessly clean, it was big and bright and decorated to a very high standard. The view from the windows and balcony was fantastic. All the way over the roof tops down to the river.
There are lots of little shops in the area, for buying groceries, fruit and cakes. The famous 28 tram stops literally outside the front door. It's only a few minutes walk down to the river and Cais Dr Sodre. The only word of caution would be that out on a very steep hill, if you don't like climbing hills, although you can walk up a more gentle, but less direct hill. Anyway, if you don't like hills, maybe Lisbon is not for you.
There is no reception desk. It all works on access codes. The check in is at 14.00 and your codes won't work before that time but there is a phone number on the front door and if you call them they can let you in to leave luggage in a secure lock up.
