We had booked two rooms through travel portal, pre paid. We arrived at the resort's front desk at about 8.30pm and the staff declared that there's only one room available for us ! After some discussions, the second room was also allocated to us ! Certainly not the kind of front desk I expected.
The room is spacious and equipped with basic amenities. But there's no coffee/tea maker in the room. The bed was not comfortable, was bit hard. The bathroom is big and well maintained, the hotwater was warm enough.
We had dinner on the day we checked in and breakfast the next day morning. The breakfast was not really ready at 7.30am as promised by the hotel, hence we got delayed. Vegetarian cuisine in the dinner was nice, but the restaurant was so noisy that it was terribly annoying. Clearly, the restaurant didn't have any clue on organising group dinners along with providing services to other guests of the hotel.
Checkout was relatively smoother. This is a very nice property, excellent ambiance and soothing greenery around; only wish the skills of service improves.
There's ample parking space and overnight parking is safe.
Would rate this at 3.5 on TA scale of 5, falling short obviously on services.

Villas located close to the river. Lots of coconut trees. Very nice breeze.Beautiful location , you woke up to natural alarm (roaster crowing) & bird sounds. Big room with chettinad style settings. Large spacious bathrooms. Big Cot & height of the cot might be an issue for few travelers.
Restaurants - Excellent Multi cuisine. Chef Senthil Nathan - Awesome Taste. Great service by Bhuvanesh & Tamil. Good Job. To take care of guest, they might need little more helpers during peak times
House Keeping definitely requires more support staff and quality manager for sure. Rooms are not that clean. Bedsheets/comforter not that clean.
Overall, beautiful location, but for the service they offer - it feels.. pricey. They need a dedicated service manager to oversee service and take care of the guests.

this property is a little away from the main kumbakonam area . its on the main road . the inside of the property has chettinad style architecture and cuisine . reservation,restaurant and front desk staff were friendly and helpful . rooms are big , the bathrooms are very spacious . property requires a little maintenance work .

The hotel is spread over a large area and located close to the temples of Swamimalai and Darasuram. The ambience is very rustic but there are many modern amenities like a swimming pool, internet access, ample car parking, etc. The rooms are large and the interiors are done in a typical Tamil Nadu style. The property is situated on a river and you wake up to the sound of chirping birds.
There appears to be no one (as in a Manager) who is in charge at the property. Given the tariff, the service is mediocre. Housekeeping and cleanliness are also not up to the mark. The restaurant had rickety tables and chairs.
With such a beautiful property, there is a lot that can be done quite easily to give guests a WOW experience.

Warm welcomed by the front desk staffs. Welcome drink served as well. Very big rooms and well maintained. Clean and beautiful interior. Just a little upgrading needed such as change the fittings in the bathrooms, TV etc. Otherwise its we had a wonderful stay.
