If you want to stay in a rough council estate, in a hotel that hasn't had any work done since the early 90's then you'd love this place.
The carpet is older than me, each space has its own unique scent and the room are what you'd expect in a hostel. I checked in after a day of business in the area and checked out 5 minuted later and paid £20 more for the Radisson Blu, Birmingham. AVOID!

Myself and my boyfriend stayed over for one evening on the 15th December. You walk in and put your car reg in and the parking then is free.
Walking into the reception, it looks pretty worn down including the furniture. We checked in, no problems.
We went to the bar and I ordered a large rose wine and a beer, I was seriously shocked when it came to £12.15!! I know hotel prices can be expensive, but that to me was extortionate.
We had a goodnight sleep, no problems.

I live in Birmingham and my family who are dotted around the country were looking for a hotel to host my aunt and uncles birthday party, and a whole load of us for the night. We needed somewhere reasonably priced due to various family budgets but we were really keen on somewhere with pool and spa facilities (like steam room, massage options etc. so it would be a proper relaxing break for everyone). So I got to task googling for hotel with massage nearest to where we could all get to! That's when Anitas website popped up and I saw she was located at the Park Inn. Having been a member at the gym a few years ago when I lived nearer I thought we should go check it out.
So mum and I went along to have a massage with Anita, who had suggested we use the pool and steam room as it was only £5 each beforehand which was a great plan as we didn't know this and it's always nice to see how good the facilities are when you are travelling with mixed ages and a few children.
The facilities were adequate for a 3 star, the downside was a loose pipe pumping water into the pool though it was rolling all over the place so water was all over the side of the pool - even more slippy than you'd expect and a bit of a trip hazard. There were also men in the locker rooms fixing the lockers, and no sign on the door to tell us this. Really something should have been said. Though we did complain to reception who were great.
What saved that particular visit was Anita. She was amazing, I'm a photographer and I see someone regularly for my back and shoulder issues. But Anita is something else, I know my massage and she clearly does too! I feel a bit silly saying this, but after her treatment I actually cried. I'd had a headache that I couldn't shift, I'd actually gotten used to just always having it. Yet her treatment made it lift entirely. I felt like I could think again. She was AMAZING. Such good value for money, and really cares. So that was it, we were totally booking our family do here because I knew my family would all benefit from her too.
On the day the staff were awesome, check in was super smooth. Rooms clean and tidy, the shower was really nice - great pressure! The party room was great for our family needs, food all out quickly and really tasty for hotel fare! Bar staff were all really friendly and I know when my mum was dealing with the lady for booking (I can't remember her name sorry) was awesome and she couldn't of been more helpful - or nice to my mum who was having to get a million and one things sorted for this get together.
We all used the pool area the next day, which was clean and totally different to our previous visit so that was great. And of course I booked in with Anita again, and must confess have travelling back ever since to see her and use the pool because she is just so amazing! Thank you so much to Anita, you are one in a million.

Lied to by receptionist upon arrival and subsequently when I queried my 'standard room'. There clearly wasnt a superior room available when I arrived and they tried to put me in a standard room and tell me it was superior. I have been staying in this hotel over 5 years - I know what their standard rooms look like!

We arrived on a snowy afternoon and were checked in by a very helpful lady, our room was quite a walk away and the hotel is a bit of a maze to begin with! The room itself was ok. Run down and a few things need tarting up and repairing. We had to call and ask for extra pillows as they only provide 1 each and as is normal with hotels they're very flat. But the staff bought them down. The first night we were going out for dinner so called to see if reception could organise a taxi, obviously I don't blame the hotel for the snow but it was a bit disappointing that 45 minutes later our taxi hadn't arrived and the hotel weren't able to tell us how much longer it would be. So we drove. That night they had a few Christmas parties in and we didn't hear the noise from those, but the walls are paper thin so we could hear everything our neighbours said! Breakfast the next morning was disappointing, it ran until half 10 i think and we arrived an hour before the end and the food looked as though it hadn't been refreshed since. The layout of breakfast is weird, we didn't notice the pastries and toast until we were walking out and the staff member who checked us in didn't tell us. I however must praise the staff for how they dealt with the snow and ice, the steps were salted and there were girls out clearing the carpark when we left.
