I have stayed in this hotel twice in the last few years and it meets all the needs. It is well located just outside Horst and has all the amenities one would require with a very nice view over the lake.
The hotel is a little tired and probably needs a makeover but the rooms are comfortable, spacious, clean and have all the amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant downstairs is pretty good.
All in all, a good deal if you need to be in the area.

Smell from water in front of hotel stunk all through rooms we were over charged we paid city tax when we booked rooms and then it was charge again when w stay here. Also air con did not work in 1 off the rooms we had.

If you find yourself in Limburg, visiting Venlo for job or other, you can count on a very nice stay at this hotel.
Very elegant place with nice and clean rooms and a small lake just in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is recommended and breakfasts are rich. You can also rent bikes and have a tour in the neighborhood, made of very nice small country villages.

The Hotel is located at directly at the Motorway, you can hear at night with an open window. Besides this, the location is very beautiful with a nice view over a small sea and a good chance for a relaxing walk. The restaurant has a terrace so you can have your dinner or breakfast with a nice view - and btw the food in the restaurant at dinner was really very good, while the breakfast is nothing special at all, limited variety and not super high quality products, but ok.
The room is a bit old fashioned and urgently needs some update and renovation. It is quite dark and for todays needs it does not provide enough plugs for electronic equipment. The worst is, in summer, that it does not have aircondition. The hotel tries to turn that disadvantage into a profit opportunity and offers a mobile aircondition for 10,-- Euro rent. The bed was ok and I slept well.
The same, an additional rental fee, applies to the bathrobe - the usage is mandatory, but the hotel wants to chanre you 7,50 euro for the rent. This is the first time in my life I would have to pay for a rented bathrobe (deposit is ok) - besides this, the wellness is charged with extra cost. This Hotel obviously tries to rip customers of with hidden extra charges and this process leaves me with a very bad feeling. I do not feel treated fair and because of this the best I can give is 3 points

We've been here several times before.
Generally a good hotel in a handy location. The restaurant terrace has a pleasant view on the lake. The neighboring park is good for walking or jogging.
The restaurant has deteriorated somewhat. The service was poor, inattentive and slow.
The dinner included in the package was disappointing. The second evening we choose á la carte which was better.
Overall slightly disappointing, just average.
