Amazing service

This was our second stay at Peppers and will return again in the future, the size of the villas allows you to relax and the level of service from the staff is amazing.
We did have a shock of disappointment when first checking in to find the deck around the main pool was being refurbished and weâd not been informed. Weâd previously eaten breakfast here and had only booked a smaller 2 bed villa knowing we could get more space by occasionally hanging by the main pool. Our disappointment didnât last long however when they upgraded us to a 3bed villa which gave us the space we needed. It seems theyâd decided to refurbish the deck hastily due to being low season and hadnât informed guests, we were told the work should be completed by mid February.
Previously the breakfasts had been a buffet style banquet which although initially always seems great but I tend to always over indulge and Iâm always concerned with cross contamination with so many people handling the different utensils and food. They had changed this to ordering from a menu and the food was well prepared and they always offered us more.
I find the gym sufficient for my needs although two of the bike machines werenât working and could do to be fixed/upgraded.
The staff could not do enough to help us and remembered us all by name every time they saw us. The kids loved being shuttled around on the golf buggies to get to the front and back gate.
Itâs brilliantly positioned for everything in Seminyak but hidden away enough to be quiet and isolated.
Weâll definitely stay again.
Awful!

I try not to leave bad reviews, preferring to sort any issues directly with the hotel while there. But I have to be totally honest with this hotel, to prevent anyone else arriving with high expectations, and being disappointed. This is in no way a 5 star hotel; I'd put it at a 3 star at best.
My husband and I booked the 1 bed pool villa through Agoda for 3 nights over the new year. I made the mistake of only checking the booking confirmation from Agoda, which clearly had a picture of a bedroom and living area in a contained apartment. I think this must be a picture taken from one of their other rooms, as the garden villa with pool is essentially outdoors. The only area covered, with air conditioning and free from mosquitoes, is the bedroom and part of the bathroom. Even the actual toilet is outdoors, and we had heavy rain for the trip, so we couldn't go to the toilet without getting totally wet. But even if there wasn't any rain and it was hot and humid, you wouldn't really want to use the kitchen/dining/living area as there is no air con.
The living and dining area is exposed to the elements, with only a flimsy shutter to pull down in rain. So the whole of the marble flooring of that area became wet; dangerously so. You essentially can't use the kitchen/diner or living area when it's raining. You also can't get to that area without getting totally wet, as there is no covered area between bedroom and living area. It's the most poorly designed set up I've ever come across.
All this aside, the hotel is really tired looking and could do with some renovation. There was thick mould on the outdoor shower, the sink basin is cracked, the decking green and mouldy. On the way into the villa (we were in villa 52 near the entrance) you have to cross a bridge with the most stinky, polluted stream next to it. Furthermore, the actual Peppers complex is a good 10 minute walk from the main street of Seminyak down a narrow street (think alleyway in more developed country terms), which gets very dark at night. You can get a buggy from the hotel to the main street, but if you want to get back after a night out, you'd need to get a taxi (and traffic in Seminyak is horrendous).
I could go on about some of the non 5 star experience of the service etc. but I won't in the interest of keeping this short. We raised all our concerns with the hotel staff, who listened and understood our concerns and tried to be as helpful as possible, but they couldn't move us to another room with a self contained area, as they were all fully booked. We asked if we could cut our stay short as this was so below our expectation and standard for the money. Thankfully, after some negotiation, they agreed to this.
I can see the positives for this hotel. For people who have families with kids, they can enjoy the private pool set up in the villa, and if you are a large group of friends who want to stay together and enjoy the convenience of chilling out by the private villa pool, you'd also be pretty happy with this setup. But if you're a couple who travel regularly and are used to staying in 5* hotels, you risk being pretty disappointed here.
Great resort!

Peppers Seminyak is an amazing resort, for adults, there is not much for kids to do than play pool at the bar, there is not much in the area for kids either, there is only night clubs and expensive restraunts in the district. The resort is very fancy and you couldnât fault it, the villas also 5 Star, couldnât fault it.
Outstanding luxury and service in Seminyak

I stayed in a 3 bedroom presidential pool villa at Peppers Seminyak for a girls trip with 5 other ladies. It was potentially the most luxurious place that I have ever stayed. It was absolutely perfect for our group. We arranged a private BBQ in our villa one night, enjoyed a whole day at the spa, lazed by the pool, and explored Seminyak by foot from the resort. It was easy to get to the area around Alila and Potato Head on foot, but to get closer to Legian, we took a taxi.
Good Villa option

Stayed with Peppers based on our familiarity of the brand within Australia. Didnât disappoint. Staff where great and extremely helpful. We stayed in a four bedroom presidential villa with another family (4 adults and 5 children) and we had ample room. The facilities, whilst in areas are looking a little tired, overall they where no less than expected. If there was a complaint, it would only be that the a/c and fans where a little too noisy when left on over night. If wanting to base yourself in the heart of Seminyak within walking distance to all of the best restaurants than Peppers should be considered. Also not forgetting the in house option of the Laneway restaurant for breakfast and two for one afternoon cocktails for those lazy days!!!
