We love this place, hotel caribe (especially the sandy pool) and Portaventura, been several times and will return.
If you can stretch to it Iâd recommend the exclusive Club San Juan rooms. You get a larger room in separate block and donât have to go to the main restaurant area for breakfast. You also get fast passes for the park.

I visited with my 12yo son in the days between Christmas and New Year. We had a great time and better than expected weather. The hotel was very full which was surprising so Iâm super glad I booked a San Jaun room also because even though It was a pleasant room it was more basic than I expected. The extraâs you get with a San Jaun room is 100% worth it (such as express access to rides in Port Adventura, even snacks, a la carte buffet breakfast, access to the wellbeing centre (inc. pool, sauna, steam room etc.)) also a dedicated check in. Which was a hilarious experience when the attendant assumed I was not worthy and directed me to the VERY VERY long queue for standard check in....now why she made that assumption and not ask I do not know but I can speculate. The outdoor pool was not open for use but it looked lovely, as did the fake beach, this would be a fabulous hotel to stay in during the summer months. Itâs also very easy to get to from Barcelona via train (just not on Boxing Day #lessonlearnt! The main hotel complex has lovely amenities including a bar and shop. We ate dinner in one of the restaurants one even and it was circa £25 for a buffet dinner. There was good selection but in my view not value for money. We didnât include lunch and dinner in the room as there are much better restaurants in the park. The park was great a not very crowded so a perfect time to visit as queues where not very long even without use of our Express status. The aqua park was closer which was a shame but understandable.

I went to this hotel with my mother and grandmother and my brother gave us a family room right next to the pool with our own terrace it was amazing unlimited time to the theme park we went everyday and went to ferari land it was a holiday of a life time room was massive and the restaurants where gorgeos lots of room and lots food check in wasquick and effcient

The rooms are quite basic and are in need of a gut renovation. I killed a silverfish in the bathroom shortly after checking in. If u weren't with a large group I would have found another hotel. The proximity to the theme park makes this a default choice for many, I'm sure, and it seems the hotel is allowed to languish as a result. It could be so much better.

Amazing theming of the Caribbean with this hotel, lovely pool area and all together a very clean and tidy complex. Each block of rooms is named after a Caribbean island. The all you can eat buffet evening meals are not included but at â¬24 per person are worth doing. The included all you can eat breakfast is also very tasty with a large selection of cooked and continental food. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with included toiletries in the bathroom and either a balcony or French windows looking onto the complex. The only downside that we found was that the walls and ceilings are very thin. You can hear the people in the next room coughing and talking and people above walking around. Aside from this, a very enjoyable stay and we would stay again.
