Back in September I visited the Prinsotel Alba Hotel in Cala D'Or with my mother. First time in Cala D'or and have to say we loved it.
Firstly on the hotel, the hotel is well kept and the rooms a good size, not massive but certainly not small. The decor is modern and the bed could easily sleep three comfortably. My Mum and I usually have separate rooms on account that she is a very early riser. Mum slept comfortably in the living area. If you are looking for self catering truly, then this hotel/apart would not be for you, but for my Mum and I it was perfect. We ate breakfast and lunch there, having the facilities to boil an egg if needed etc. No oven so you wouldn't manage to cook a pizza or anything like that. I saw many bad reviews about the size of the pool and that it was difficult to get beds. We didn't have that issue as we were outwith the school holidays, however, I can readily see that in the height of the summer, yes this would be a big issue, the pool area is not large enough for the amount of rooms there. The staff on reception were extremely helpful. I didn't use the gym but had a look, it was reasonably well equipped. We also did not use the Spa.
The resort itself was delightful. The location of the Prinsotel Alba means that the area where all the restaurants are housed, is but a ten minute stroll. We also ate down on the harbour front, a 20 minute stroll downhill, where there were lots more restaurants. We never had one bad meal. The food was fantastic, we ate in a different restaurant every night. There are several supermarkets dotted about but the largest one and main supermarket is but a 20 minute walk away also. I'd definately go back to Cala D'or, the quaint little seaside coves are beautiful.

Our visit was a couple of months ago and our strongest memory is of the polite, friendly and hardworking staff who made every day a pleasure to be there. A special mention must go to Rosario in the restaurant who went above and beyond to ensure all guests had a great holiday dining experience. The pool bar restaurant at lunch time was fabulous and staff were first class. The kids entertainment team were fabulous and all the kids loved all the activities. The rooms were modern and spacious and very very clean.
The only fault we could find was the pool area is a little small and crowded and you had to be up VERY early to get a decent spot. But this didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the holiday. If you are offered dinner in their al la carte restaurant you must go as it's superb. Close to the beach which is stunning and all the amenities of Cala D'or.

My wife and I have just returned from a one week break at the Prinsotel Alba aparthotel in Cala D`or. We went self catering and it was probably the best experience of self catering we have ever had. From the moment we arrived when the receptionist was extremely welcoming to the moment we left when the porter insisted he move our cases we could not fault the hotel. The staff were all extremely helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be of any assistance which they could, the room was always spotless and we had clean linen daily, there was even a welcome pack of toiletries on arrival which was a pleasant surprise given we were self catering. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent, again the waiting staff were very helpful. All in all we have no complaints about this place and if we ever return to Cala d`or then here is where we will stay. Some reviews slated the supermarket adjacent to the hotel so we avoided this as there are plenty of others around, in the town there are plenty of very good restaurants and eateries. The bars were also very good, I would like to single out one bar the "Wet Your Whistle" a small bar run by a very nice Spanish lady, it was very welcoming and friendly. There is enough sightseeing for a week but probably not much more in the reasonably drive able localityso if you go for longer be prepared to spend some time on the beach of which there ere a few scattered around or around the pool.

Stayed at the holiday for 5 nights from 12/10-17/10/2017 and exceeded our expectations. Very clean hotel and staff were so friendly! The price we paid for booking direct really was a bargain for what we got. Pool bar food was also than just your regular toastie and fries and you even got to see them cook it.
Ideal location with the beach more a less on your door step and some excellent restaurants only a 5/10 min walk away. You were close to the centre, but far enough away that you could enjoy your sleep.
Well will def be returning!

This was a long awaited holiday, we arrived at this Hotel Apartments complex to find the location perfect for our needs. The hotel is located very close to the centre / marina and also the beach, the apartments were lovely and clean and very well maintained. The all inclusive dining was always plentiful and very good quality with an excellent choice for everyone. The hotel facilities also surpassed all our expectations and had everything to make this a very enjoyable holiday, we will certainly return to enjoy another holiday here.
