Clean, comfortable, helpful staff.
Bland area but the main centre for Newmarket is nearby (maybe a bit far to walk) for shopping and a large variety of restaurants and coffee shops.
Careful exiting - busy one way street out front and parked cars obstruct the view.

Warm welcome on reception. Our room was lovely, very clean and spacious for a normal room, however slightly on the small side for a studio with kitchenette. This didn't affect us as we only used the fridge and kettle, however if you're planning to eat in the room it may be a little too small, and there is also no seating area inside the room. Spacious bathroom with good shower, also all very clean. Large balcony. Short drive to the Harbour and Auckland center, we were informed that there is also a bus that you can take. Walking distance to Mount Eden which is lovely. Brilliant value for money, particularly as we stayed on New Years eve and New Years day.

Hi I was here for a week from 12/27/17 thru 1/1/18. I love staying here. It was clean and safe. The service was awesome and helpful. It was actually close to everything. The room had a comfortable bed and tv was great. The free wifi was excellent too. Included in the room was little kitchen with a small fridge, sink, and microwave. The bathroom was huge and nice. I loved my stay here. If you would like a nice clean safe hotel in AKL, NZ this is the place.

We stayed here 2 nights after having driven from Christchurch 6 days earlier, staying at a different place every night. Alexander Inn was more expensive than we would normally pay but it was worth it. The room was spacious, bright and sunny and very clean. The kitchen area had a cooktop, microwave, large oven and all the utensils you could want. The bathroom was large and well fluted out. There was even a small balcony to enjoy the fresh air. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our stay here was excellent! We had time to relax and re-charge.

Great location and the parking wasn't as tight as found at other similar accommodation in Auckland. We arrived just before 10pm which was considered out of hours - there was a safe to put keys for this purpose - an okay process although I could access all other guests' keys who were also arriving late. My room was very spacious and comfortable, with the windows closed there was minimal noise from the motorway. It was a cool evening so the feather blanket from the closet was appreciated (the closet was also an unusual place to find a full length mirror). Friendly staff the next morning to check out.
