We came to the hotel for just 1 night, never been to London before so was a first for me.. and was so disappointed when we came to this hotel. The room was freezing when we first walked in.. the room was dirty too! Marks all over the walls and to mention the walls you can hear everything in the hotel around you!! I would not recommend to anyone coming to London, not s good deal at all!

Stayed here last week with my partner for a couple of nights. For the amount we paid compared to other London hotels I wasnât expecting luxury, however reading the reviews on here made me dread our stay! Would I have sleepless nights because of the paper thin walls?! Or get eaten by bed bugs??? Fortunately on arrival we were greeted by lovely desk staff in a very clean smelling reception area who gave us a room on the second floor (NOT one of the refurbished ones). Our room had a double bed and a single bed, however we only paid for a double. Because of the extra bed it seemed quite cramped but actually was a decent size. Mattresses werenât particularly comfortable but were ok - and not a bed bug in sight. Bathroom was surprisingly nice, clean and large. There is a window in the room which opens slightly into a gap between the buildings. You will probably need to leave this open because the radiator is constantly on and you canât turn it off or down. Beware, the pigeons do get quite loud and there is lots of bird poo in this gap, but I get that thereâs nothing you can do about that in a central London street hotel. You will hear people go in and out of their rooms but thatâs pretty standard anyway.
Breakfast was lovely! Decent selection of hot and cold food. It does get quite busy so I suggest you go earlier rather than later. Coffee wasnât so good... I think they put cheap instant coffee in the machine.
Location is fantastic, just round the corner from the Queensway underground.
The only thing that annoyed me about the hotel was that the cleaner came into the room when the âdo not disturbâ sign was on the door. Also, the doors themselves donât look very safe at all. In fact, there is quite a worrying sign in the room that says the hotel is not liable for any theft. There is a safe in the room though which is free to use.
Check out is at 12 which is later than normal and they let us keep our suitcase in the luggage room with no extra charge.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Donât expect luxury with a limited budget, which obviously some people do... you get what you pay for. For a basic, cheap room in central London, this is fine!

We booked this hotel for a lovely family break in the middle of February. 15 hours after booking cancelled booking as father in law had a stroke through the night. I phoned hotel as they had taken money from my account. I asked if they could refund my booking explaining what had happened. Was told manager was the only one who could do this. Phoned back on the Monday and it went down hill from there. All staff I spoke to were rude with no compassion. Were not interested in what we were going through and refused refund and basically said tough. I have never been treated so badly by a hotel. Iâm appalled. I would understand if it was a week before travel dates but this was 4 weeks. They can let out our room that we have cancelled. Do not book with this hotel!

The hotel is very poor. Avoid at all costs. No soundproofing between rooms in any direction will keep you awake all night as the sound comes from all other rooms above, below and sideways. About half the rooms have windows backing on to a wall only centimetres from the window so you not only donât get a view but donât get any light at all. The small gap between the wall and window is filled with cigarette butts which might go some way to explaining why the room stank so badly despite being non smoking. Tiny shower with very hard to control temperature and simply the worst breakfast I ever tasted. Despite breakfast being included in price we only tried it once and never went back. The smell of the breakfast should get you out early - out of the hotel that is. Location is good.

Check in was easy and the staff where all very helpful
Our room was on the 5th floor and looked like it had recently been refurbished,the room was fairly small but had all we needed for a short stay
The bathroom was small but for 2 nights it wasn't a problem
Breakfast was good it was busy but the staff are all working hard to keep everything fully stocked
The hotel is very close to the tube station so its ideal for exploring London
We would stay here again the staff make the hotel and they where all excellent
