What People are saying

Convenient hotel for M5

Hobatron on 06/02/2018 14:44

Easy to find, really close to m5 J2, ok rooms. The staff are very helpful, friendly, although there's one with a gruff demeanor, not in a bad way though. The rooms are clean, had a king sized bed, firm mattress and pillows, worked for me. There is a teapot and an all important iron in the room. There were black bits on the iron, the shower was a bit dribbly and in need of repair. But the room had an excellent view of Asda. This is very convenient for the m5 and the Little Bangla Indian restaurant - great food. So I will be staying again.

Be cautious...

I booked this hotel as it was close to a party we were going to. It was £45 for a double room, and knowing that we would be back late and just needing somewhere to sleep, we didn’t need anything fancy.

After booking, I then read the reviews. Wow, they make interesting reading! I was dreading what I would find.

The lobby looks impressive but on closer inspection, it is tired and shabby. There is a bar but this is limited in selection.

The lady at the front desk was lovely and was dealing with requests for room changes and complaints as if it were regular routine.

When we went to our room, the corridor had huge globs of yellow paint on the carpet. The room however was fine. There was a huge bed and the room itself had a Nespresso machine, tea and coffee facilities. I was very relieved!

When we got up the following day, the car park was littered with paraphernalia which suggested dubious night time activities.

This is not, in my opinion, somewhere to go if you’re holidaying or treating yourself. If you need a cheap night’s sleep however, it does the job.

Ramada used to be a sign of quality

craigm66 on 26/01/2018 17:08

Ramada hotels used to be a safe brand for consistency and quality--wow, how things have changed. This hotel it incredibly poor--if it wasn't for the delightful and helpful staff I would have checked out. The carpets are filthy in all areas and covered in stains, the rooms are ill maintained, heating not working and are of a very low standard. There is a green light that stays on all night preventing any chance of sleep. Food prices are high and looked to be very poor quality although I didn't eat I make this judgement based on what I saw being delivered so I went out.

The location is excellent and this hotel could easily charge £100 per night if quality was good but as it stands it is worth about £30 per night. Major work needs undertaking and Ramada you should be very ashamed at how badly you have allowed standards to fall.

Where are Ramada’s standards?

HenshawStreet on 23/01/2018 22:55

Filthy. Stained walls, carpet, curtains (yep, curtains). No plug in the sink. A toilet seat that is not fixed securely and slips off if sat on. Furniture veneers peeling off. For what is a global brand I cannot understand how anyone can accept these standards as in any way ok. Really quite shocking.

(BROWN SMUDGES) LITERALLY THE WORST NIGHTS SLEEP AND THE DIRTIEST HOTEL ROOM EVER

143luke on 07/01/2018 12:11

As I entered the room I was greeted by a brisk -1 temperature, upon finding the heating was broke I got straight into bed and too my horror there was lipstick on one of the pillows, brown smudges up the wall and the light fittings next to the bed were dangerously hanging off. I would not even recommend this to a homeless person. STAY WELL CLEAR. Only positive was that the staff were polite.
